Less Stuff, More Substance: Fostering Mindfulness

One thing I get to understand better about practicing minimalism is that it is not only about having a free from outside but also having a free from inside. While one could be good at leading a great minimalist lifestyle, the mind may be clouded with all sort of clutter so the need for mindfulness.

I'm no different! Infact, I have way more in my mind and do less for it than I do with what bothers me from the outside. Practicing mindfulness isn't what I've always done growing up but I guess the older and wiser we get, the more we want to look into us and be our better versions.

Little by little, I am learning to declutter my mind in the ways I know how to and there has been good results that has made the difference for me as I grow older. I'm not saying I'm great at being being mindful of what I think or worry for, I just learn slowly that I can attain more freedom than I have.

To control one's thought is not an easy thing to do but finding out actions that will help foster and master the art of controlling one's own mind as slowly as possible is freedom itself and minimalism practice makes it easy to find them out. The physical influences the emotions indeed.

I do a lot of things alongside meditation to keep my mind clean and clear every now and then. There is the weird one that just somehow calms me and the very intentional ones that does more than it seem like it has for me, I'll share a few of the actions I take to declutter my mind.

First and most frequent one is, Sing! This action feels like I'm letting my mind run away from becoming free because I just sing and think less but it actually help simplify whatever thought that has clouded my mind. When it is too overwhelming to sing, I play music that connects to me.

Another thing I do which may be weird to you reading it or maybe not is, A Pause! I tend to have a lot of pauses especially when I have to do something that needs more thinking and reasoning. The last time was this morning, in the bathroom! Weird but I feel my mind getting light when I do it.

Having a cool bath after a positive pause frees my mind in the most weird way I can think of, I go for the day's work or my night rest feeling much better of myself. I honestly do not do much of the meditation that is intentional, like sitting and closing my eyes to declutter my mind for freedom.

But watching nature, thinking about my past happy moments (things to be grateful for) and trying as much as I can to worry less, all that have helped me to have more substance towards environment many ways possible. The more I try to free my mind when it feels clouded, the better I get.

There are no better hacks to add more value to oneself and those around than focusing on one's mind to foster it's resistance to agents that will always be there to fight for a space within.

I expected that you would say about singing but the pause option is also interesting and I try this option sometimes in my case also.

Going about everything we do, all clutters in somewhere, just like the storage in a computer system, we need let them go, is finding what aids your synergy, once you get them get acquinted with it and beging to use it weird them off; I am happy you have discovered yours.
