THE 3 MUSKETEERS

When it comes to being a minimalist it’s hard for a lot of persons to understand why I do some things the way I do them. Well, they find it really nice and cool but they are always wondering how I do it. How am I so consistent? Sometimes I wonder too but that was until I discovered that it was all because of what I see minimalist lifestyle as. You know when people say it’s all about the mindset? This is a perfect description of what it is all about. There was a time in my life when I wasn’t a true minimalist, and at that point all I did was admire those who were minimalist indeed from afar and just kept working towards being one someday.

It wasn’t until I joined hive and noticed that some of the people I follow were minimalist or they make post to this community and then I found this community. I started reading some posts and their responses about the different #kiss and their random minimalist posts. I was impressed and interested. You know when you see something you like and know that’s what you’ve been missing all this while? That was how finding a lot of persons that practice minimalism was for me and it was at that point a lot of things started making sense to me.

I learnt more about the things I’m getting right as a minimalist, the things I needed to work on and the things I never even knew were minimalist practices. So one of the adjectives that characterizes my minimalist practice is INTENTIONALITY. Despite the fact that I wasn’t a true minimalist at some point, I didn’t let that stop me. I actually saw that as an opportunity to grow. And over the last 3 years, there has been great improvements in my way of life as a minimalist.

The second adjective that characterizes my minimalist practices is CLUTTER-FREE. This is something I try not to overlook at any point. Sadly I do sometimes but interestingly, when I do that I only chose by myself not to do so much because it slows me down mentally and even physically. So most times, no matter how tired and busy I am, I just find some time to create space around me and keep everything where they belong.

And lastly, another adjective that characterizes my minimalist lifestyle is SIMPLICITY. I so much love things simple, I feel like I’m the goddess of simplicity sometimes, hehe. It makes me feel comfortable and I also realize how it boosts my confidence and self esteem. I have tried doing things the other way and I know how I felt. Now, I don’t joke with being simple with literally everything I do. Not just in my appearance but everything as much as possible. Those extras are cool but they are something I feel and know I can do without so I just enjoy keeping it SIMPLE!

This is my response to the #kiss for this week. It’s a pleasure having you read through. I hope to see you next time. ❤️

What you cultivate is what you become, and it seems you've picked some pretty solid foundations for growing your self (and your minimalist practice!). I particularly resonate with intentionality right now, so thanks for bringing that to the foreground for me today :)

I like that! What you cultivate is what you become, so true. At first it won’t seem obvious but with time it will be totally obvious.

Thanks for your contribution, Honeydue. 🌹

These three are indeed cores of minimalism and you can't go wrong with them. The best part is that, they are all connected if we break them down properly.

Well done momma.

Actually they are connected. Very connected. Thanks for stopping by, daddy Hallelujah. 🥰

Yeah, I love being intentional. That is a rock in minimalist lifestyle. You just have to be intentional. If not, you can get persuaded and turn back.

That’s true. The part I’m even scared about not being intentional is you telling yourself that it is not worth it.

Hmm, it is all worth 👌
