#KISS PROMPT Week #72; If you were offered 20$ a day to live in a clutter-packed home, how many days do you think you could make it through? No minimizing or organization allowed!
When I first saw this week's prompt, a smile spread on my face and my mind was wow, that is a little bit above half of the minimum wage here in Nigeria. I could just spend two days in that cluster home and make what people are earning a whole month.
But then the thought of past experience of the first night hubby and I moved into this state kept on smiling back at me, like, are you sure you can survive in such a house for two days? hehehehehe
Our first night here I barely survived the horror of an unorganized space. Our plan was to leave Abuja as early as possible so that we could get here just in time and still be able to clean and arrange our house. But as fate would have it, our vehicle had lots of unplanned delays on our way. From Abuja to Kaduna that wasn't supposed to last more than 3 hours but we ended up spending the whole day on the road.
By the time we got here it was already 9pm, I was fragile and dead tired due to my pregnancy. So hubby suggested we just go in and relax till the following morning when we could clean and arrange the house.
He could barely finish the statement before I picked a broom, and a cleaning bucket to start the cleaning that night.
Because I knew myself so well, if I don't clean or arrange our load to at least half way that night. I won't even be able to close my eyes, talk more about falling asleep.
We ended up finishing with cleaning and did some of the arrangement of our load to at least 80% that night.
Only then I was finally able to relax and get some sleep.
For me, the bliss and peace of mind that comes with an organized room is non negotiable. $20 dollars a day won't just motivate me enough to want to try and risk being overwhelmed and restless for some days. Unless my life largely depends on staying in such a cluster area.
Or maybe, if I can renegotiate with our fairy Godmother, Millycf and she has a change of heart π₯° to upgrade the stake from $20 to $1000 it will surely be tempting enough for me to change my mind to strive to survive in that house for at least five days. I will just switch my mind and start dreaming of living on a beautiful island, where I don't have to think or worry about anything but just immerse myself in nature, and explore as far as I can. with the most beautiful view you can ever imagine, with heavenly breezes blowing through my delicate skin. And all sorts of fresh island's fruits at my back and call. Plus , my phone, Internet and wifi to connect to hive world. I think that should be enough to make me want to survive in such a cluster homeπ₯°.
If the stake is that high, it should be easy for me to create that sort of imagination. And after I survive I will take a long walk by the beach with my most favorite beachwear, spending time with nature to detoxify my mind and energize myself. Or better still pay a visit to a beautiful Island.
If the house has such a beautiful window view like the one above, the better. I could be the girl in that picture, sitting on the window trying to focus my attention on the beauty outside of the house hehehe. Though I might not be able to stay long in her sitting position, once in a while I will be escaping my reality sitting there.
This Is My entry Into This Week's #Kiss Blogging Idea In The Minimalist Community
Thank you for visiting and for your support, do have a great weekπβ€π₯°
This is so relatable. It's a horrible decision knowing that you really should fall asleep and clean when you wake up, but the reality is that you cannot sleep with the place in the messy state that it is.
Nice points:)))
Thanks for your #KISS
I enjoyed it π
lips sealed
I couldn't just find peace within me, when my house is like that.
Thank you very much for the #Kiss i'm glad you enjoy my thoughts.
