Still talking about last Saturday, because I still haven’t fully processed all the results we’re seeing after the show I played with my band. The stage at Praça Antônio Carlos, in the heart of my city, was hit with a blast of sonic energy during the 2025 Festival de Bandas Novas. Among the afternoon performances, my band, ScreambreakerZ, delivered a show that blended heaviness, melody, and nostalgia, with a sharp setlist of big names from 90s and 2000s international rock.
We kicked things off with "The Kids Aren’t Alright" by The Offspring, already setting the fast and explosive tone for the entire show. Right after, we went into "A Urgência" by Dead Fish, keeping the crowd moving with its straight-up, contagious hardcore vibe.
The mood then took on an intense EMOtional charge with "Helena" by My Chemical Romance, which had many people singing along to every verse. The dramatic atmosphere stayed strong with "The Kill" by Thirty Seconds to Mars.
Next came "Bring Me to Life" by Evanescence — a song everyone always gets hyped to sing along to in the chorus. Right after, it was "All I Wanted" by Paramore (my personal favorite to sing, honestly lol).
To wrap things up, we chose "One Step Closer" by Linkin Park, leaving the crowd jumping and screaming along to that iconic chorus — a farewell with a taste of “we want more.”
The set was short, just 25 minutes, but I think our song choices really showed our identity. It was a performance that reinforced how these tracks are still alive and able to unite different generations, and how, in the right format, they still sound just as urgent and relevant as when they were first released.

Ainda falando do sábado passado, pq ainda não consegui assimilar todo o resultado que estamos colhendo depois do show que fiz com a minha banda. O palco da Praça Antônio Carlos, no centro da minha cidade, recebeu uma descarga de energia sonora no Festival de Bandas Novas 2025. Entre as apresentações da tarde, a minha banda, ScreambreakerZ fez um show que combinou peso, melodia e nostalgia, levando um setlist afiado de grandes nomes do rock internacional dos anos 90 e 2000.
A gente abriu a apresentação com "The Kids Aren’t Alright", do The Offspring, já ditando o tom acelerado e explosivo que marcaria todo o show. Em seguida, emendamos "A Urgência", do Dead Fish, que manteve o público no embalo com seu hardcore direto e contagiante.
O clima então ganhou uma carga EMOcional intensa com "Helena", do My Chemical Romance), que fez muitos cantarem junto cada verso. A atmosfera dramática se manteve em "The Kill", do Thirty Seconds to Mars.
Depois, "Bring Me to Life", do Evanescence, que todo mundo sempre se empogal cantando o refrão junto. Logo depois, foi a vez de "All I Wanted", do Paramore (minha preferida pra cantar, particularmente kkk).
Para encerrar, a gente escolheu "One Step Closer", do Linkin Park, deixando a plateia pulando e gritando junto o refrão icônico — uma despedida com gosto de “quero mais”.
O show foi curtinho, 25 minutos, mas acho que a escolha do repertório mostrou bem a nossa identidade. Foi uma apresentação que reforçou como essas músicas continuam vivas e capazes de unir diferentes gerações, e que, no formato certo, ainda soam tão urgentes e necessárias quanto na época em que foram lançadas.
