New Music from Female Fronted Rock N' Roll Artists for Three Tune Tuesday

Here we are on another Tuesday already, that sure came quickly. That's alright, because it's time for another fun Three Tune Tuesday! This past week I have spent a lot of time listening to some newer music and discovering some new bands which is always interesting. There is some great new stuff out there if you know where to look. I'm not a big fan of artists that overly polish their music and use autotune to correct their vocal slips, it kind of takes the fun out things. I know my teenage niece has a completely different opinion on that subject, being a big fan of Olivia Rodrigo and K-pop! It's hard to have a discussion with her though, as peeling her attention away from her phone is near impossible! lol

Today I will be going with all newer bands with songs produced in the last year or so. Additionally, I will be going with another female fronted band/artist theme, which is always enjoyable as there really aren't enough women rock n' roll vocalists out there. I have recently found several new rock bands out there fronted by women, so I'll share one of those at the end today. But first, I'll share some new music from one of my favorite bands and an artist I recently introduced in another post not too long ago. I hope you enjoy this week's Three Tune Tuesday!

Violet Grohl

If you are a a fan of the Foo Fighters you are sure to recognize the last name, as she is the daughter of Dave Grohl. She has been performing since the age of twelve and appeared many times with her father including fronting Nirvana last year for one song during a fundraiser. This year she will be releasing her first studio album, and from what I've heard so fa, I'm already a fan. She definitely has taken a lot of influence from the music of her father's grunge era of the 1990's. This is a fun song with a hilarious video called: "Bug In The Cake":

The Pretty Reckless

This band, from New York City, formed in 2009 and are fronted by former actress turned musician Taylor Momsen. They have become one of my favorite bands over the years and have produced five studio albums, including their new one this year entitled Dear God. They have released a few of the singles from the new production and so far they all sound really good, so it should be fun to hear the compilation in its' entirety. This is the first single released from the album, "For I Am Death":

HotWax

This band from Hastings, UK got together in 2020 and have been building a following ever since. They have taken a lot of influence from bands from the the grunge era of the 1990's and have a great sound with a a hard edge. I only recently discovered this band and have enjoyed the few songs I've heard so far, so I decided to throw them into this week's women fronted edition. Have a listen, this song is called: "She's Got a Problem"
