More Great Rock N' Roll, Halloween Edition, For This Three Tune Tuesday!

Believe it or not this Saturday is already Halloween. What happened to the year? It seems like it was just New Years... It is Tuesday and as Halloween is just around the corner, this Three Tune Tuesday will be a dedicated to Halloween. It's always tough to narrow down the options to just three, and today I'm even leaving out Alice Cooper which almost seems sacrilege...

Before we get going, I love sharing some rock n' roll themed precious metal and I am a precious collector, especially silver and gold. Today's comes from Samoa and is one half ounce of pure silver, made to look like a nice old vinyl record. It is colorized which I usually pass on, but since it is rock n' roll themed I thought I'd share it since I ran across it on APMEX.

From APMEX.com

These are not cheap, with an asking price of $129.99 and a production limit of 1,000. However, way too much for what it is in my opinion. But it you like it I did put the link in APMEX under references so you can check it out.

Now, before we get going, I want to say thank you to @ablaze for starting and continuing to sponsor this fun weekly event where you can share three songs that you enjoy. One lucky participant will win some HSBI units, you can't have too many of those! So if you don't already participate feel free to jump in, just use the tag #ttt or #threetunetuesday and it's never a bad idea to do a shoutout to @ablaze .

Ozzy Osbourne

This rock n' roll legend started his career as front man for Black Sabbath formed in 1968 in Birmingham, England. Eventually, he was fired from the band for his excessive drug and alcohol abuse in 1979. He then embarked on a solo career with his wife, Sharon, as his manager. Off his third solo album of the same name came this Halloween classic, "Bark at the Moon":

Rob Zombie

Rob Zombie has always been a zombie fanatic and loved and things sci fi and monster based. He named his first band, White Zombie, after the 1932 film considered the first true zombie movie ever produced. In 1998 he releases debut solo album Hellbilly Deluxe which sold over three million copies, and featured several hit songs. One of my favorites from the album is the song "Dragula", named after the speedster build for Herman Munster in the original series, The Munsters, that aired from 1964 until 1966.

Motörhead

Formed in London, England in 1975, emerged as a leader in the heavy metal scene in the late seventies and into the eighties. They are often credited with reigniting the popularity of the genre in the latter part of the 1970's. In 1991 they collaborated with Ozzy Osbourne to write the song "Hellraiser", which both Ozzy and Motörhead recorded their own versions. The latter being a harder and more bass driven song, which makes it perfect for Halloween. This came off their album March or Die in 1992, here's "Hellraiser":

That will wrap up this Halloween edition of Three Tune Tuesday, these are always fun to put together! Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below, and as always thank you for all of your support. It really is deeply appreciated. Have a great week everyone!

They don't play many of those old movies on the cable channels like the used to this month. It's kind of sad.

It really is sad that so many of the old classics are being forgotten. They are getting harder and harder to find, they don't even play those old Munsters shows anymore. I remember watching those reruns when I was a kid but had to use an old VHF antennae to pick up the channel! lol

Yeah, they still play a lot of the Halloween movies, but most of them have switched over to just showing the remakes.

Those are some awesome tunes brother. Just heard some Cooper though the other day. He definitely needs to be included in a Halloween tunes post😀
