Last week I posted a cracking shadows post from Berwirck Upon Tweed teain station (Berwick upon Tweed 🏴 Train 🚂 Station SMASh) and it got to me think about trains....
Trainspotting, I was spotting trains, it is also one of my favourite films.

Gritty iconic and hilarious film about life for youngsters in depressed Edinburgh schemes (housing estates) when Edinburgh was the heroin capital of Europe.

Damn, watching that brought back some cracking memories!
I lived in a big flat on Elm Row when I was at uni in Edinburgh before they gentifried Leith walk and damn was just like that. They drank neat vodka in the morning then started on brown smack. A couple of them even worked in banks 🤣 Fluffing nutters.
The lead photograph I took is actually the street where I had my flat, and it is the right but you can't see it for the fluffing roadworks!
But what a song and Iggy Pop what a legend.
Did you know David Bowie cowrote that for him in 1977?
Well now you do!
My god this is going to be so hard.
Not only is Trainspotting one of my favourite films, but the soundtrack is one of my favourite soundtracks.
Funnily enough all my favourite films have mental soundtracks!

Leith has been mental for the roadworks since they started on the trams. It's a changed place now though eh!
The roadworks seem never ending and the trams are not exactly new now. But yeah changed days and a changed place totally...
I've actually never seen that movie. I think it would be too disturbing for my sensitive emotions :)
Brilliant it was, the follow up was in 2017 I think, some great actors and great humour!

I didn't know that about David Bowie. He is such a legend! Great selection of tunes. I love the Alice Wolf tune when they meet all grown up in Trainspotting#2:

it seems I have heard this music play in a movie before. Just can't recall. Not too used to the 90's music but many of them still sounds good, even much better than a lot of current songs.
Talk about having it all... great post! Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, and Reed with Pavarotti. The Pavarotti I hadn't heard before, it was cool. Great TTT!
