Hello Hello to all you wonderful Hivians
The temp here is minus one degrees C, and we actually had about two minutes of sleet!
About as much as we will get.
We are getting warmed about cold temperatures and ice blah blah so let's see if we get a repeat of the coldsnap in December!
It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!
As you know I love drawing in inspiration from many places for my three tune tuesday post.
@ablaze started #ttt 138 weeks ago! Go check out what it is all about on his latest post Bob Sufjan Stevens for Three Tune Tuesday - Week 138 - 10 HBI shares to be won!
Do go support @ablaze as without him we would not have this mental fun musical activity that you can win HSBI from! I am happy to be one of the TEN sponsors and it is kinda fun checking out music from all over this global village of ours!
Today we wil be hearing songs from an absolute legend.
On Saturday we were at Kircaldy Galleries which is a third part war memorial, third part art gallery and a third part library.
Advertised was a group called Cast On. It was a crochet group that meets the fortnightly. Mrs T had never been before and was umming and ahhing about going, so I took her and dropped her off at class like a kid on their first day at school.
They had exhibitions in the Gallery part which were quite fun and a cafe, so I was all happy.
Mrs T enjoyed her two hours and said she was teaching a couple of newbies how to crochet as they were absolute beginners.
Yep you guess it, my ttt was born!
Do you remember the film Absolute Beginners. I loved it but that may have been because of Patsy Kensit and Sade.
However researching this post I remember just how much I love the soundtrack.
This is David Bowie being Bowie and showing off his legendary variety.
So let's kick off this Absolutely Beginners soundtrack ttt with the title song from the film Absolute Beginners.
Absolute Beginners is a 1986 British musical film adapted from Colin MacInnes' book about life in late 1950s London, directed by Julien Temple. The film stars Eddie O' Connell, Patsy Kensit, James Fox, Edward Tudor-Pole, Anita Morris, and David Bowie, with featured appearances by Sade Adu, Ray Davies, and Steven Berkoff.
I forgot this was on the Soundtrack and again just shows off Bowie's musical repertoire.
I wonder how many covers exist from all the different artists who have sang Volare.
I defy you to sing this without joining it!
So I was going to have it as a Bowie inspired ttt but then of course I love Sade so any excuse to have her voice on a ttt.
Her voice just gets me everytime!
I forgot The Jam did this!
Note: The three YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.
I wish that you all have a brilliant rest of your week, and until we meet again enjoy your tunes πΆπ΅πΆ

I remember seeing that movie a long long time ago. I couldn't tell you what it was about, but I know I watched it. I knew Bowie was in it, but I didn't realize how many other people were in it! So cool!
London in the 50s and 60s and immigration and love affairs of course.
Great cast and something I might see if I can find again!

@sirenahippie says - Oh, how wonderful, I LOVE BOWIE, I love him, it gives me so much pleasure to see him on the #ttt, thank you for bringing two of the songs sung by him. I like Absolute Beginners. I haven't seen that movie, I have to see it. Hugs!
