Barry White: The Voice of Romance and the Soul of Soul

Barry White earned 106 gold and 46 platinum records. The singer was nominated 11 times for Grammy Awards and won two. Barry also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Today I bring you the life of Barry White.

So we begin

Registered under the name, Barrence Eugene Carter. He was born in Galveston, Texas, on September 12, 1944. When Barry was 14 years old, this happened. At 15 years old Barry White was imprisoned along with his brother Daryl Lionel White for two months. While there, he was inspired by the song It's Now or Never by Elvis Presley and decided to change his life and his friends by entering the world of music.

Barry White appears in the famous series The Simpsons. 2001 was the year of tragedy. After decades of uninterrupted smoking, White's health began to deteriorate. And since he suffered from chronic hypertension, he was hospitalized in September 2002 for kidney failure while awaiting a transplant.

For this reason, he underwent hemodialysis treatment, but his body could not withstand the complications of both diseases. Unfortunately, Barry White died on July 4, 2003 at 9 a.m., at the Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, at the age of 58. His body was cremated and on July 12 his ashes were scattered by his wife, Glodian White, in the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of California, at an event attended by 40 guests, among whom were family members and close friends of the singer such as Michael Jackson.

Finally, in 2013, Barry White was posthumously awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. At the ceremony, Glodian White, accompanied by her sister Linda James, gave a speech on his behalf. And so we come to the end of the story of this great musician, singer, producer and composer.
