Escuchando la música de mi adolescencia, indudablemente rescato muchas vivencias que estaban en el baúl de los recuerdos. Espero que ustedes, al igual que yo, hayan rememorado aquellos momentos en los que nuestra única preocupación era que alguien nos sacará a bailar y no supiéramos. ¡Qué viva la música, la más hermosa máquina del tiempo!

Beautiful Tuesday, music lovers of the world! Beautiful day, friends of HIVE. Today is Tuesday again and everyone knows that Tuesday is for good music.
In my series of Idols of an era, posts inspired by Venezuelan groups and singers who became known in the 80's, today I bring you one of the most famous singers in Venezuela and who still enjoys popularity and success today. This singer is the renowned Ricardo Montaner.
Like the previous singers, such as Franco de Vita, Yordano or Ilán Chester, Montaner was not born in Venezuela, but it is this country that gives him the opportunity to project himself as a singer and achieve worldwide fame.
It was difficult for me to choose three songs, since all his musical repertoire is good and I personally have many experiences marked by these melodies. However, I tried to choose three that were different, not only by genre, also thematically speaking. I hope you like them:
Solo con un beso
In a time without Reguetón, when young men wanted to get close to a girl, they waited for the most romantic ballads, to dance and sing in their ears the lyrics learned from the songs or confess, with sweaty hands, their hidden love. I don't know how many times this song was sung to me, but I remember that when it was played the lights went out and the dance floor was filled with young people in love: “I would like to dress your body with caresses that I carry inside”, says the lyrics so far from the lyrics of today's songs.
If I had to choose
This song is beautiful and the video is a beauty. This piece speaks of the relationship of father and daughter, just like the video. Women who have had the joy of having a loving and present father know how fundamental the father figure is to our emotional development. The father is the first male reference for a daughter, his first love, his first hero. I listen to this song and it is impossible not to remember my father and miss him the world over....
Vamos Pa' la conga
To finish, I chose this cheerful, danceable, raucous song, a real show, and it's the set piece of the parties in Venezuela, typical for the guests to do the “trencito” in the famous Hora Loca. There was no one who stopped dancing to it in the 90's and even today it is heard at the most “euphoric” moment of any guateque or sarao in the country: “Vamos, negro, pa' la conga, mira que quiero arrollar!!!” Says the song at the beginning and the people get up to dance!!!!
Listening to the music of my adolescence, I undoubtedly rescue many experiences that were in the trunk of memories. I hope that you, like me, have recalled those moments when our only worry was that someone would ask us to dance and we wouldn't know how. Long live music, the most beautiful time machine.
