And my only claim to punk fame was when I was invited to play as a guest guitarist, given an under powered guitar and amp. Only to be slowly drowned me out for most of the song, thanked for my participation and to celebrate the occasion with the audience urging me to jump into the mosh pit. Where I graciously declined and stepped down on the stage side stairs.

Still pretty cool getting to play onstage with them! I can see why you declined the jump into the mosh pit, those hands can be kinds of grabby in all the wrong places! lol

That was the Band's Amateur talent shtick. The Lead singer say's their Rhythm guitarist is sick and asked the audience for a volunteer. With quick instructions on playing chords; D, A, and G on Eights piped into an Overdriver. And it's Punk, it didn't have to clean. So I played the Intro 8 bars before the band did the rest.
