Jeans - Boots - All Right Now (threetunestuesday)

( EN / DE ) "These boots are made for walking....."

If you're roundabout my age, surely a very good old song comes to mind right away while reading these words, doesn't it? Anyway, that's what we were doing today in the ecency chat. We old hands knew immediately what it was about, while our dear millennials could only guess.

Therefore, today for the #ttt once again a few in my opinion nice old "classics" that you should have heard at least once in your life!

The first song! For me unimaginable not to know it. An absolute feel good song - Jeans? More than a piece of clothing. A piece of life culture and symbol of resistance of several generations.
Jeans On (David Dundas) - Gets me immediately in a good mood "when I wake up in the morning light...."

The second song - this is the song that led to this posting. Released by Nancy Sinantra in 1966, at a time when I was also not yet born. Nevertheless, everyone knows it, not least because of the cover by Billy Ray Cyrus, which was very popular in 1992.
But here I want to show you the original. However, not with the pretty shrill colorful sexy video variant, but as a single played on a record player, but certainly something with which our Millenials will not be so familiar:

Nancy Sinantry - These Boots Are Made For Walking

Yes, that's how they were, the tunes of the 20th century. Simpler somehow, more carefree. Whereby I really ask myself again and again if the music of that time didn't play a big part in it, the tunes were much more straightforward, much more positive, much more lively.
Anyway. We had our jeans - our boots - and we could sing out loud, "Baby, it's alright now!"

DEUTSCH / GERMAN

"These boots are made for Walking....."

Ein absoluter feel good Song - Jeans? Mehr als ein Kleidungsstück. Ein Stück Lebenskultur und Symbol für Widerstand mehrerer Generationen.
Jeans On (David Dundas) - Verschafft mir sofort gute Laune "when I wake up in the morning light...."

Nancy Sinantry - These Boots Are Made For Walking

Ja, so waren sie, unsere Tunes des 20. Jahrhunderts. Irgendwie einfacher, unbeschwerter.
Jedenfalls.. Wir hatten unsere Jeans - unsere Boots - und wir konnten lauthals singen: "Baby, it's alright now!"

I really hope @stevenson7 @weone and @idksamad78699 also like them, maybe try to listen twice? ;-)
And to @dickturpin and @stresskiller hope you had much fun back memory lane! Yours, B.

Mein Favorit von den drei Songs ist "All Right Now".

…okay, so yes, when I read the heading, I thought of Nancy Sinatra. First things first woo woo woo lol

So, since it pertains to words bringing a song to mind, I just have to tell you that when I read this:

"when I wake up in the morning light...."

Even though my thinking brain knows the last word you wrote was light, it had no effect on my mind’s filling up with the sounds of the opening line to Bill Withers’ Lovely Day.

Anyway I’m technically I think what they call an “old millennial”? (1983)

(Gratuitous Proof of Age the Technically Proves Nothing, just for kicks)

To be honest, I’d never heard Jeans On before. Actually, never even heard of David Dundas, so I guess my millennial status is pretty well locked in lol - but I liked the song a lot! And I could definitely feel immediately the feelings you described as the song opened up :)

Thanks for sharing this, today I found a new song to love!

Omg! Lovely day ... Not heard this for ages ...
The greatest problem for this post was to only choose three !LOL
Honestly the name David Dundas is also not stored in my memory, but the Song :-)

So, young man, I am really proud to find a song YOU dont know! Thats a miracle !!!!!!!!

Banging out the classics again @beeber - good work me auld segotia. Nancy Sinatra had some damn fine songs, quality musician.

Free - All Right Now -- This one just wants you to get up and dance around like a maniac, it reminds me of Guns and Roses or Rory Gallagher or both rolled into Guns n Gallagher. Rock on man..
