How sad! I hope they find out why because if it's something that could affect other wild birds, then maybe they can stop it.

We spoke to a guy at the lake who claims to be from animal welfare. He says they are testing the dead bird to try and find out the reason for death. Lets hope it is not fowl play (pun not intended). 🤔
I hope it's not either; that would be too sad.
