Hello music lovers and Hello hivers!
Tuesday for me on Hive means three tune tuesday...
It's Tuesday and of course that means it's inspiration time!!
Are you ready for Christmas?
I am not, need to get thanksgiving over with first!
When I was researching George Ezra for my post last week I discovered that he had a younger brother who performs under the stage name Ten Tonnes
It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!
@ablaze started #ttt 181 weeks ago! Go check out what it is all about on his last post Ludwig Van Beethoven for Three Tune Tuesday - Week 180 - win 6 HBI
Do go support @ablaze as without him we would not have this mental fun musical activity that you can win HSBI from! I am happy to be one of the SIX sponsors and it is kinda fun checking out music from all over this global village of ours!
George Ezra has a sister and brother who are also involved in the music business.
His younger brother whose real name is Ethan Barnett performs under the stage name Ten Tonnes.
Ten Tonnes is also a singer-songwriter. He's released a self-titled debut studio album and has even supported George on tour.
How fluffing cool is that!
Better Than Me was released as a single on November 11, 2018 so a six year anniversary yesterday!
It was also included in his debut studio album Ten Tonnes which was released on the 3rd of May 2019.
He might not have the voice of his brother George Ezra but I am sure you will relate to the lyrics @deraaa
I'm better than you, I'm better than you"
"You're not good enough for me
So he might not have the utterly amazing voice of his brother.
But I have been listening for well over an hour so he is well listenable!
Some of his songs remind me a bit of the band Orange Juice.
Lucy was released on February 26, 2019 as a single of his Ten Tonnes album.
This time the love affair is over, the ex has moved on but he is still in love with her.
Funnily enough as I am listening to the lyrics into my head pop ... This is not a love song from Public Image Limited!
I'm not the same"
"I'm lost and confused
On to a newer song now from his latest album Dancing, Alone from last year.
It is another song about a breakup, this time he is feeling lost and confused after his relationship has ended.
He writes hs own material and it does seem like he is unlucky in love, either that or makes stuff up!
It is all quite catchy in an indie alternative way and I like the guitar play.
He's cited influences like The Strokes, The Beatles, and Kings of Leon, so you can hear the clear nods to classic indie and rock artists in his music.
He said when his brother George Ezra was touring and making a name for himself that that was something he wanted to do.
So I shall close out with a bonus tune from one of the big UK festivals...
Ten Tonnes - Counting Down - Reading Festival 2019
Note: The three YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.
I wish that you all have a brilliant rest of your week, and until we meet again enjoy your tunes 🎶🎵🎶

Oh Kay.,, I’m a little late.
First song… hey! I love his voice and hear that beat… how can I not love it? It’s quite so me. And it’s the kind of thing that I can sashay to. I have to go look at the lyrics… I’m not getting the whole thing here…
I don’t think he is any lesser than his brother in voice … or is it just me that’s forgotten what his brother sounds like? I do that a lot 🤣… anyway… this is my least Favorite song… I don’t really dig hung up songs … I like to move it on…
Yeah the third one was way too loud for my taste… or maybe I’m biased 😑…
My favorite remains the first tune.
Oh well better late than never and first let me say thank you Deraa, you know how I love your reviews ...
And George the brother with the voice ... let me remind you from last week...
Yeah we know you just move on and don't get hung up 🤣.
I did think the first song would be you which is why I put it in that order.
Very interesting! I guess some families are just blessed with the music gene. Mine sadly was not!
Hehe nor mine, my mother kept it all!
How wonderful! I want to be invited to George Ezra's celebrations. I imagine that at that family's parties there must always be good music and people singing. I agree with you, Ten doesn't have the brother's voice, but he sounds good. I liked Better than me, it reminds me of a song I still haven't rescued from my memory. Greetings from this shore, my friend.
Oh yes the family parties the two brothers probably fighting to see who could sing!
He does have a good not hs brother's but you can still listen to Ten!
