True, they usually are quite expensive. The ones I just threw away one pair I bought on sale like 8 years ago and the other one was a present from my mother in-law about four years ago and I wore those every day beating them to a pulp.

I really like the Nike Air Maxx that my wife wouldn't let me bring. Those are quite comfortable now that I have them broken in. I was able to get them on sale for like $60, so it wasn't too far out of my price range.
