I've been procrastinating a bit getting ready to write a post this morning. It's not that I don't want to do it, but I am just having a hard time thinking of much of anything to say. I have a long list of topics in my Google Keep for potential post ideas, but none of them are landing with me this morning.

It's been a bit of a busy week at work. We recently went through a copy machine refresh where I work. Since I am 70% of the technology department, much of the work to get them connected has been on my plate. We were supposed to have them installed over Christmas break, that would have made the most sense, but you know big corporations... They have their own timetables, so here we are trying to implement new technology at just about the worst possible time.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin continues to do Bitcoin things. We saw a rush back over $100K earlier this week only to fall right back down to the $92,000 level. Now we are back around $95K and it wouldn't shock me if by sometime this weekend we were back over $100,000. Or not.

I heard some speculation that the recent drop was because of the US getting approval to sell BTC from the Silk Road seizure. At this point, does it really matter where it came from or what they are going to do with it? We all know that Microstrategy or some other ETF is probably going to gobble it up!

It is time again for another Finance Friday/Friday Finance. This is a series I started where I talk about random bits of financial stuff that I have seen, gathered, or experienced during the week. I hope as a reader you find it informational, entertaining, or both. I also hope it can generate some good discussion and edify the community.

This is the time of year when @mrsbozz and I start making the reservations for our Summer camping trips. The window opens up sixth months in advance, so for example if I wanted to camp on July 10th through the 13th, this morning (Jan 10th) at 8:00 AM is when those sites become available to book. Unless of course someone else booked them yesterday or several days earlier for a full week.

It's always a bit stressful trying to find the perfect site when you are fighting against hundreds if not thousands of other people to make a reservation. I wouldn't trade it though. Some of the sights we have seen and things we have done on our camping trips will stay with me until my final days.

Plus at right around $30 per night, you really can't beat the price compared to staying in a hotel!

CHEX

My darling token of the next bull run seems to have taken a bit of a dive lately. Just a month or so ago it was touching near $.80 per token and now it is back down around the $.35 range. It might be time to check the couch cushions for some spare change! I haven't really checked it because quite honestly, for me it is still up. I bought the majority of my tokens when it was $.03 and $.07, so I am in the profit for the foreseeable future.

I still have a lot of faith in this token as the team seems to have a good roadmap going forward and several big announcements that they are sitting on right now. I think when we finally get into the heart of the bull run and they start dropping those tidbits, the sky could be the limit.

This is the one token I am counting on to make life changing wealth for me this cycle. If however that doesn't happen, I'll manage, I always do.

VET

I've been doing a bit of DCA'ing into the VET token and it's gas token VTHO over the past couple of years. Basically I just pick some up and then I sit on it because holding the VET token earns you VTHO each day. Despite the recent market pullback, VET has been holding pretty steady around the $.04 range.

The thing I really love about VET even though it doesn't get a ton of press is the fact that it has a real world use case that has already been implemented and is being used every day. I think we can all agree not many tokens can say that. Most of the meme coins are just fluff and hype with no substance. Fluff and hype are what seem to be making money these days though, so maybe I am wrong...

HIVE

I've been continuing to grow my account here on HIVE. My @bozz.sports account should hit the 5000 HP mark soon which is something I have been looking forward to for a while. I joked with @mrsbozz the other day that my alt account is almost making as much as my main account now, which is pretty cool.

I just picked up some of that new YIELD token that was just dropped the other day, so we will see how that works out. From what I hear, the presale is over, so if you want some, you have to either buy above market price or wait for another sale.

I've also been selling some HIVE into HBD lately. Thankfully, I had been keeping some liquid, so unlike others who have been powering down to take some gains, I was able to without touching my stake. If HIVE ever makes it back over $1 that may no longer be the case for me. Eventually my HIVE I bought with HBD when the price was sub $.30 is going to be gone.

We are now a full week into 2025 and I am really looking forward to seeing what this year brings for us.
