The Heartfelt Ballad In "With You" By Dean Lewis
One thing I've always loved is stories, any kind to keep me entertained when I need one. Stories have a way to entertaining you while teaching you lessons of real life issues. I can say it is one of the reasons I still have some songs as the ones I listen to sometimes because of stories.
I'm a story lover and also like to tell stories, I enjoy doing it so much that I've been doing that since I was little. The first time I came across a song that is telling a story in it, I was fascinated by it. How do the song tell a story in such melodic rhythm? I would always wonder too.
A few weeks ago, this song came to my notice on Tiktok as I was scrolling through and since then, it's been on repeat whenever I want to listen to some songs. The song is only a few months old but it seem to have the lyrics that we've waiting to hear in years. A song with a beautiful story.
Not the usual long and dramatic stories but definitely a story anyone out there should listen to and know they are not alone in whatever situation they find themselves in. "With You" is a song that tells the truth about love without saying much. Even I can't explain the song well enough.
"Dean Lewis" voice and presentation of the song had a lot to do with how much I accepted and relate with this song more. Someone said on a YouTube post about the song that, "This song is not entertainment anymore, it's medicine!" and I totally agreed because of the artist behind it.
Dean Lewis says the song is one from a true life story and was to be sang by Rihanna. She may have sang it well enough too but I'm glad it was sang by the person who actually went through the ordeal. It's a song that seem to relate with many who have listened, I see it on every short.
I would let you listen to the song yourself and if you don't feel anything with the lyrics, it would be a surprise. One of the best parts of the song is where he said "I'm still in love with you, without you". This kind of love is what the world needs actually, where we love each other regardless.
Imagine loving someone even when the person is not there anymore, when the person messes up or when the person doesn't love you back... It's a difficult thing to do and takes a lot to continue in it but this song proposes that it's possible and something that one's love is supposed to prove.
The song is been on a repeat for me and I'm glad I could write about it to save on my blog too. Do listen to it and let me know what you think about the lyrics, the artist and the melody. It's one of the good songs out there, you should add it for listen.
