Growth Happens When You Stop Running From Challenges

A lot is changing in me for a while now and I can already picture just how much more will change at the pace I'm going. I'm no longer rushing things, I believe things will happen at their own time and I'm no longer seeing how to get things too easily because taking time to understand something before you gain it makes a difference.

Growth is a constant and it happens at every point in life except you choose not to allow it. While some growth can not be controlled, like growing old, there are so many growths we can make happen for ourselves and this is why my mind went to when I listened to a teaching on the title "Growing Through What You Go Through".

In the spirit of that teaching, I want to share my thought and a song that spoke to me about this lesson. Everyone of us have our definition of "growth" just as we do with "success". Growth for a writer could be just having to write a 100 words consistently for 5 days and it could be 1k words for a month, for another writer. Growth happened.

Where there are no growth, it's scary. I thought about my life from the past five years and even though I didn't try to change some things about myself, I've changed a lot. But one thing I've learned from a small experience is, I can create what I have to go through and grow through it. Hard situations will always come for your growth.

Someone said... "Growth is uncomfortable and so will not happen in your comfort zone". So when we are faced with hard situations, having frustrating feelings and being stuck in a level, it's a phase of growth and you have to grow through it. No need praying for that situation to disappear, the best prayer is the strength to go through it.

I've listened to this song countless times and I can't get enough of it's lyrics that speaks directly to my struggles that I am trying to grow through. You can listen to it too but one thing I want to make us understand and accept is, we should be happy when we have to go through some unpleasant situations, they are signs of growth.

"Don't pray to get rid of what you go through, pray for strength and patience to gain the growth that you need for the next phase of your life".
