Being Alive: The Most Overlooked Reason to Be Grateful

One of the hardest thing to do when we're at our lowest is, showing gratitude. I tend to believe that showing gratitude is an happy attitude, like you can't be saying you are grateful with a face that says you are not happy at all. When people say "thank you", there's a smile or vibe that follows it.

When I try counting the things I am grateful for in my journal some days ago, I lost count and I noticed how I felt so good and happy as I wrote. It's a feeling I wish to have at every point in my life but we all know that's not possible because even the Bible said there is time for everything.

So yeah, it is totally fine to not be okay, to find it hard to be grateful and it is fine to be shaken from what you've been grateful for. What is not fine is, letting that moment linger longer than it should by staying stuck in it and not trying to remind yourself one very obvious gratitude in life.

BEING ALIVE!!!

Let's face it, only those alive would see the time to be sad or happy about a situation, now imagine just being grateful that you're at least "Alive" even though things aren't right at the moment or going well for you. We all know that those moments don't last our whole lives, we've had happy days that we are also very grateful for.

Like I've said, it's hard to be grateful (with the joys and smiley face that comes with it) when we are down, when we are struggling or when we can't see the light coming anytime soon. But honestly, that is the time we have to learn to be even more grateful, gratitude takes away the sadness faster.

The situation might look bad for longer than we expect it to end but because we choose to be grateful for being alive, at least, we don't see how bad the situation is even when others see it and even try to talk you down. Removing complain and embracing gratitude even in bad situations, is a hard and positive step we take out of them.

Here is a song that inspired this thought, I've sang it over and over, it just brings joy to my thoughts and I am grateful for the words of the song. You should listen to it and be inspired too.
