Dancing Queen

I just got from the official dinner and award night of my Faculty. The official LAWSAN dinner was beautiful, and it also doubled as my inauguration night as the Financial Secretary of LAWSAN. So, yeah it was packed and amazing. I had a very busy 48 hours, so even though I was excited for everything, my stunning dinner dress and all, pangs of hunger and my exponentially increasing tiredness gnawed at me.

Anyway, that’s not the basis of this post. The basis of this post is to talk about music. Yeah, good music. I love music so much, and yeah, I know I said it already but my new earpods are simply amazing, and anyone who sees or runs into me this period would catch me bobbing my head every ten seconds.

I’ve never disputed the fact that music is food for the soul, but more and more as I progress and develop in life, I reaffirm just how true it is. Music just makes me feel a whole lot lighter in my mind, and my heart, and pretty much ignites my soul. Not any music. Just my type of music. The right kind.

And I don’t know, but who else loves the concept of playlists? That you can carefully select and curate songs to fit into a particular category that you listen to at specific times. They mostly tell a story or represent something that is known and special to just you.

Which is why when my friend gave me his playlist to listen to, I thought it was adorable, and I felt exceedingly honoured. Like I was being let into a secret portal. But this time, the portal is my friend’s mind, which, judging by the songs is quite beautiful. Soulful and beautiful.

So, yeah, music is indeed food for the soul, and these days, I’ve been very into oldies. Like the soul, and hearty songs of the seventies and eighties, and since it’s really my kind of music, I’ve been loving each and every moment of it.

Now you all know, I’m a hoarder. I really don’t like to share my music with anyone, unless I really like the person. Yeah, I’m a huge gatekeeper, but because of how somewhat happy I’ve been past these days, even with all the stress I’ve been going through, and coupled with today’s happy occasion, I’ve decided to grace you amazing folks with one of my recent happy songs.

You’re welcome.

It certainly wasn’t easy doing this.

Breaks my heart immensely.

But anyway, there you go. Abba’s Dancing Queen has been playing in my head nonstop, and I think the song is a literal masterpiece. Every note, every beat, every rhythm, hits me just right. It’s like an itch in ny brain that I finally get to scratch the right way. Too much talk, my brain is getting too foggy. I am exhausted and need to sleep. PRONTO. Do enjoy!

I also love music, there's no day I don't listen to music. Whenever I'm down I just play music to light up my energy.

I love music especially whenever I'm working, as to keep me in a good mood. My aunt loves ABBA's songs a lot.
