Joy is Coming

A lot is happening in the world today, so many people are struggling to get by. The pressure to succeed is worse than before and most especially the economy is nothing to write home about.

People work around the clock to get by, taking up multiple jobs just to put food on their tables. With every day comes a new challenge. Some challenges we are able to overcome, and others we give up on. When does it all end?

As a youth, it is so hard to keep up with everything happening and it’s worse when the system fails you every single time.

I pray things get better someday, I pray we get to a point where we don’t need to struggle so much to get by. I pray we don’t get to lose ourselves in the pursuit of success.

While I keep praying and hoping, I want to share a beautiful song with you all.
The title of the song is Joy is Coming by Fido. It was released in 2024 and ever since, it’s been played in almost all occasions and has become a household song.

It’s a song that preaches hope and happiness. It reminds us that there is light at the end of the tunnel. It’s both a motivational song and an Afrobeat. Whenever the song comes up, you don’t need to contemplate dancing because you must dance.

Most of us can’t help thinking about our problems and wallowing in our sorrows, Fido is admonishing us to “dance away our sorrows”

Challenges of life have no timetable, they come unannounced and whenever they want to. They don’t leave an inscription on your forehead that says “Pardon her for this week”. They can strike the next minute but we shouldn’t let them steal our joy and happiness.

While we struggle to make our lives easier and better, we shouldn’t wallow in our sorrows or in self-pity. We all need to be hopeful.

Sometimes, it might seem like everything and everyone is against us but we need to remember that Joy is coming someday and things will get better.

Lately, everyone is being hit by the economy on a daily basis. What we consider a cheap commodity is gradually becoming a luxury. We are forced to adjust our lifestyles to fit with the current happenings and while that can be so sad and super uncomfortable we just have to do it.

While we hang in there and hope that things get better eventually, we always need to remember that Joy is coming, if not now but someday😃
