With the passage of time, old Bengali songs and popular songs are almost becoming extinct.
Nowadays we live in the modern world. As a result of living in the modern world, we are constantly discovering new songs. New songs and new melodies are always enlightening our minds and we are entering the modern world. But what were the songs that our ancestors practiced before living in the modern world?
Basically, the songs that the ancient people practiced were very wonderful. The songs of the ancient people inform us about the cultural contents of the civilization of our ancient people. Songs are not only to give us joy in our minds, but they carry a unique sign of ancient civilization. Songs give us joy and satisfaction in our minds and are also the only means of expressing our sorrows.
However, the songs that our ancient ancestors practiced have now often become extinct. In the crowd of modern songs, the old songs have really gone far away.
People used to sing songs in their own regional languages without musical instruments. Listening to those songs used to give us a lot of satisfaction and we used to get a lot of joy. However, now we have lost the ancient songs due to living in the modern world. In the world of modern civilization, forgetting the ancient civilization of our fathers and grandfathers, we have now conducted ourselves in musical instruments and filth. As a result, we no longer want to listen to the old songs and have come a long way from the old songs.
Since I live in Bangladesh, I always practice Bengali songs. One of the Bengali songs among them is the Bengali ancient Zari song.
I like listening to Zari songs very much. However, currently every Zari song that is broadcast in Bangladesh is only love-centered. Now people are no longer simple and straightforward. There is filth going on in the name of Zari songs and you will not be able to understand the beginning and end of the song.
However, if you listen to the Zari songs of the old era, you will see that they are sung about the real lives of most people and there are written about the past lives of people. Moreover, in those old songs, their own words about Islam and the biographies of various scholars of Islam are written.
The more modern we are becoming, the more uncivilized we are becoming. So if we want to lead the next generation towards civilization, then we must practice ancient songs. Because only ancient songs contain the words of knowledge and religion and the beautiful biographies of scholars.
So let's practice good music to enlighten ourselves and enlighten the next generation. If we avoid dirty music and practice the songs practiced by our ancestors, we will be able to become enlightened. Otherwise, our civilized society will be destroyed.
