A Quiet Weekend for WOO Collectors, Time to Make a BETA Pack Game Plan
A Big Hello to all WOO Fans! 🥳🥳🥳 WOO!
A quiet weekend in WOO gives players something they do not always get when activities are running back to back: time to think about what they actually want to do next. With the BETA pack sale on the horizon, this might be a good opportunity for collectors to consider their plans before getting caught up in the excitement. There is no confirmed connection between the quiet weekend and the launch preparations, of course, but the timing gives us plenty to talk about.
I have gotten some feedback that reminders are pretty useful when it comes to the regular events held in WOO. So here I am again with a quick reminder for any upcoming events.
The announced sale is expected to last 90 days, with a public allocation of 135,000 packs and an additional 15,000 packs initially reserved for the ecosystem. Each pack is priced at $2 and contains five cards. Those numbers suggest that the sale is intended to run for a meaningful period rather than being a one-day scramble. Still, the announcement makes it clear that the sale will not be extended beyond its 90-day window, so the end date will matter to anyone considering a purchase.
One thing that caught my attention is what happens if the public sale does not sell out. Up to 15,000 unsold packs may be moved into future ecosystem rewards, such as Battle Pass rewards, tournaments, events and promotions. Any remaining unsold public packs are planned to be opened into permanently locked WOO bot inventory, where the cards cannot be sold or traded. That makes the final outcome of the sale worth following, because it could affect how the remaining cards are distributed and used within the ecosystem.
For collectors, I think the sensible approach is to decide what matters most to them. Some will be interested in owning Beta-era cards, while others may prefer to wait and see how the marketplace develops. There is also the choice of payment method, since using $WOO is planned to include a Jobber Pack and a Gym Bag alongside the Beta Pack. Those extras may appeal to players who are also thinking about progression rather than collecting alone.
Perhaps this weekend is a good time for the community to have those conversations without another event competing for attention. A little breathing room can be useful when there are new details to absorb, especially when the decisions involve spending tokens or money. I would not treat the quiet period as a signal that something is wrong. Sometimes there is simply more value in thinking ahead than rushing into the next thing.
The BETA packs have given WOO fans a new topic to follow, and I am interested to see how the community reacts once the sale opens. Until then, I will be keeping an eye on the announcement and working out what makes sense for my own collection. The weekend may be quiet, but the planning does not have to be.
TLDR: This is a reminder to all my readers (and WOO fans) that baring any last minute sudden surprise events, this weekend should be a relatively quiet one. 😜
Well, that's it for today. We will continue again tomorrow! 😁 WOO! 🎉
