Hello everyone. For years, my country has wanted to achieve sovereignty in every sense, especially energy sovereignty. Since we are a small territory with limited resources, we must learn to make the most of what we have beneath our feet so as not to depend on what comes from outside. Will Cuba be able to transition toward 100% self-sufficient cities like the model proposal seen in the photo? It is possible if we harness science and the resources we have available. This model is the futuristic concept of self-sufficient cities in Cuba. If we combine clean energies—solar and biomass—with the use of the Earth's internal heat, we will be creating uninterrupted sources of energy on the Island, and no one else will suffer from prolonged blackouts or water shortages due to pumping.

Hola a todos. En mi país se desea desde hace años alcanzar la soberanía en todos los sentidos, especialmente la energética. Como somos un territorio pequeño y con recursos limitados, debemos aprender a aprovechar lo que tenemos bajo nuestros pies para no depender de lo que viene de afuera. ¿Podrá Cuba transitar hacia ciudades 100 % autosuficientes como en la propuesta de maqueta que se ve en la foto? Es posible si se aprovecha la ciencia y los recursos que tenemos disponibles. Esta maqueta es el concepto futurista de ciudades en Cuba autosuficientes. Si combinamos energías limpias: sol y biomasa, con el aprovechamiento del calor interno de la tierra, estaremos creando fuentes ininterrumpidas de energía en la Isla y nadie más sufrirá de apagones prolongados o desabastecimiento de agua por bombeo.
