Good day to you everyone, how are you doing this afternoon, hope everything is moving well over there. I’m here again to talk about a secret battle mage challenge with the rule Rise of the common.
Rules Of The Battle
Up Close & Personal
Only monsters with melee attack may be used in battles.
This is a proof that only monsters with melee attack may be used; and that was the reason during the arrangement of my monsters, there was no range or magic monster in my collection. The only attacking monster I had in my collection was melee monsters.
Fog of War
Monsters lose the sneak, snipe and opportunity abilities.
Since fog of War was included, it was not necessary to include sneak and opportunity monsters in my arrangement. this was because they won’t attack in any position except first position.
And I couldn't risk placing sneak or opportunity monsters in first position because they don't have what it takes to lead the battle. If I made such a decision, it wouldn't have yielded a good result because my opponent came with full force- he used a summoner that gives reach ability which allowed him to use any melee monster in second position, and he used Coastal Sentry.
Rise of the Commons
Only common and rare monsters may be used in battles.
This is the rule for this week! only common and sneak monsters allowed; and that was the cleared indication that legendary monsters cannot be used.

Summoners Arrangement
Malric Inferno
Splinter: Fire 🔥🔥🔥
Level: 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ability: Additional 1+ melee to friendly monster
Mana: 3
There was no summoner that came to my mind except Malric Inferno. The best summoner to use in this battle is a summoner that adds melee from friendly monsters and removes melee from opponent monsters such as Malric Inferno.
Possibly the wise is one of the best Summoners to use; the trample and reach abilities makes it one of the best summoners to use. My opponent was very good, and that was the reason he used the wise summoner.
The only thing I needed was an additional melee attack of which Malric Inferno gave me. That was the main reason I used the summoner.
Monsters Arrangement
Living Lava
Splinter: Fire
Level: 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 1 🚤
Ability: Shield
Health:11 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 2 🪖🪖🪖🪖🪖
Attack: Melee
Mana: 7
If you ask, what is the best monster to use in first position? I will tell you that Living Lava is the best. the reason for this answer are:
Shield ability: you could see that It was really hard for opponent monsters to destroy Living Lava in this battle. despite the fact that my opponent used Coastal Sentry as the second monster and the summoner gave the monster reach ability to attack in second position; even though when enrage ability was activated in Diemonshark, it couldn’t destroy Living Lava.
That was the reason it was difficult for living lava to be destroyed. if it were any other monster without shield ability, it wouldn't have taken Coastal Sentry and Diemonshark third or fourth round to eliminate it.
No Magic monster: magic monsters were nullified from this battle which could have caused havoc on Living lava. If there were magic monsters in this battle, I wouldn't have used Malric Inferno because it wouldn't have yielded good results.
since there was no magic monster in this battle, I was sure that Living Lava would not be destroyed easily.
Fineas Rage
Splinter: Fire 🔥🔥🔥
Level: 3 ⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 5 🚤🚤🚤🚤🚤
Ability: Reach
Health: 5 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 2 🪖🪖
Attack: Melee
Mana:7
I did not have a summoner like my opponent of which any melee monster can attack in second position, it was necessary for me to select a monster with reach ability. Only monsters with reach ability can attack in the second position of this battle, there is no other melee monster that can attack in the second position.
Since Fineas Rage has a good speed and good melee, it was the best reach ability monster that was fit in that position. though, I have another monster with reach ability but it is very slow to attack.
therefore, my best choice of monster in the second position is Fineas Rage
Ferox Defender
Splinter: Fire 🔥🔥🔥
Level: 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 2 🚤🚤
Ability: Protect
Health: 8 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Attack: Melee
Mana: 5
The only thing I needed from the Ferox Defender is the ‘protect’ ability. additional +2 armor was an added advantage to my lineup. I knew if Ferox Defender led the lineup, it would be difficult to eliminate due to 7 armor and 8 health.
Goblin Mech
Splinter: Fire 🔥🔥🔥
Level: 3 ⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 3 🚤🚤🚤
Ability: Piercing
Health: 3 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 8 🪖🪖🪖🪖🪖🪖🪖🪖
Attack: Melee
Mana: 10
Since sneak and opportunity monsters were not necessary, it was important to add Goblin Mech in my lineup in case the first three monsters were destroyed. Therefore, it was a backup plan in case my initial plan went wrong. Fortunately for me, the first three monsters were not destroyed in this battle.
Molten Ogree
Splinter: Fire 🔥🔥🔥
Level: 2 ⭐⭐
Speed: 1 🚤
Ability: Demoralize
Health: 4 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 2 🪖🪖
Attack: Melee
Mana: 9
I knew the best solution was to use more than one monster with a ‘demoralize’ ability. trust me! if I had three monsters or four monsters with ‘demoralize’ ability, I would have used it.
Disintegrator
Splinter: Neutral ⚔️⚔️⚔️
Level: 3 ⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 1 🚤
Ability: Demoralize
Health: 2 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 5 🪖🪖🪖🪖🪖
Attack: Melee
Mana: 7
Since sneak and opportunity monsters could not attack in this battle, it is a waste of monsters to use it in this battle. monsters with ‘Demoralize’ ability was the best in this battle for the following reasons:
Reduce the melee of opponent’s monsters- you could see that the melee of opponent’s monsters was reduced by -2; the only monster with the highest melee was Deeplurker. until the enrage ability of Diemonshark was activated, the rest of the monsters had +1 melee attack.
Weaken the melee of the opponent's monsters: throughout round one, from round one to round three, only 1 armor was damaged from Living Lava. The reason for such was the 2 monsters with ‘demoralize’ ability.
Gave my monsters more opportunity: You could see that all my monsters had more than one melee attack- it was easy for my monsters to attack the opponent's monsters and eliminate them.
Round 1 of the battle
This battle required monsters with the highest speed; and the monster with the highest speed was attacked first. this is one of the reasons I used Fineas Rage.
Fineas Rage was the first monster that attacked, it attacked Diemonshark and Damaged 3 armor, Diemonshark and Coastal Sentry attacked, but could not damage anything. the last monster that attacked was Living Lava, and it damaged 3 armor from Diemonshark. By the end of round one, 6 armor was destroyed from the Diemonshark while nothing was damaged from Living Lava.
Round 2 and 3
As usual, Fineas Rage damaged the armor while the Living Lava damaged the health. By the time Living Lava attacked Diemonshark, enrage ability was activated, therefore, its melee increased to 2 while the speed increased to 6.
Hence, in round four, Diemonshark was the first monster to attack, and that was the first time it damaged Living Lava. By the end of round 3, the health of Diemonshark reduced to one.
Round four and Five
At round four of this battle, only 2 armor was damaged from Living Lava while Diemonshark was finally eliminated. Coastal Sentry led the attack in round five. though it could not damage the armor of Living Lava. Artemis the Bear attacked Living Lava but could not damage the armor also.
Round 6 and 7
Coastal Sentry was eliminated in the round 6, Arkemis the Bear led the first position while Deeplurker. Since Diemonshark was eliminated, Fineas Rage became the first monster that attacked, while Deeplurker was the second monster.
Round 8 and 9
Nothing happen in the round 8 and 9; the health of Arkemis the Bear’s health was damaged to one.
Round 10 and 11
When Arkemis the Bear was eliminated, the armor was removed, and it was very easy to eliminate the opponent's monsters.
The armor of Living Lava was finally damaged, and the health was reduced to 6.
Deeplurker was eliminated in round 11.
Round 12 to 13
Pelacor Bandit was the fastest monster that was eliminated in the 12 round.
Round 14
This was the final round of the battle. Disingrator was the last monster in the lineup and was eliminated in the final round.
In conclusion, my opponent was very good, he used one of the best summoner for the battle; unfortunately, I used 2 monsters with ‘demoralize’ ability which made his monsters with melee ability ineffective.
