The Summer Has Left The Netherlands

While many countries are dealing with extreme heat waves, the Netherlands is once again lagging behind. At the moment there is little evidence of global warming in this country. On the contrary, I have to go way back in my memories to find a summer just as cool as the summer of 2023. And that made me think with a bit of black humor about whether there are not enough Bitcoin Miners in the Netherlands. And that's something I can only imagine. The energy costs here in this country do not lie. We all know that mining Bitcoin takes energy. Add those two together and you understand why there will not be much mining activity in the Netherlands regarding Bitcoin. There are certainly some people left and right who mine crypto, but that will mainly be other crypto. For Bitcoin, the costs are too high. And then of course you have to deal with the fact that many people still believe that Bitcoin is polluting because it uses so much energy.

Crypto Industry Is Greening!

Although it now appears that this is really somewhat outdated. The crypto mining industry is greening at a very fast pace. And you can even say that the mining industry is quite innovative. For example, I came across an article that there is a miner who has a mining rig built into a dryer in the place where the heating element should normally be. That way he can dry his laundry with the residual heat from his mining rig. Why waste energy? A tumble dryer is fully accepted in our society nowadays, but these are also really energy-guzzling devices. This miner is therefore aware of the energy consumption, but by using his mining rig to dry his laundry, he does save energy. I think it's pretty genius! By the way, if you go to the Twitter feed of this particular miner you will find many more brilliant ideas where he uses mining rigs in the household. And this turns out to be just one of the examples of how the crypto-mining industry is greening at a rapid pace. One goes even further and would like / could change Bitcoin from a climate polluter to a climate saver. I have some doubts about whether this could ever become a reality. But that's a whole other story, which I won't even get into right now. What this is about is that many people are spreading outdated information about the climate pollution of Bitcoin miners, while the crypto industry is working very hard on greening. Where you see the opposite in various other industries. Even countries don't seem to take it all that seriously, and apparently put the economy and production above the climate. When you see, for example, China is building more coal-fired power plants than any other country in the world ... then I question the impact that will have on climate pollution.

Hive at 20 cents soon?

The greening crypto thoughts make me feel a bit warm inside as a crypto enthusiast. The crypto industry isn't that bad after all... So let's see what else remarkable news we can find today. I don't even want to talk about the crypto prices today. That's not very exciting yet, and I think it's going to be that way for a long time. Not really special, maybe an outlier or a slip here and there, but I actually expect a long boring period until the next Bitcoin halving sometime in 2024. I know, @silverstackeruk expects something completely different. He really expects that about 90% of all cryptos have not yet seen the bottom. And that, for example, Hive will reach 20 cents before we can think about another bull run. That is quite a horror thought by the way ... Hive back at 20 cents! My god, NO! But only time will tell if it will happen or not... I don't really expect it, but who am I? Above all, don't take my word for it as far as prospects or expectations are concerned. I also didn't expect the bull run to end the moment it did. If Hive does go to 20 cents then I'd be wise to do a full power-down now, put everything in HBD and buy Hive the moment we hit 20 cents, but yeah...I don't expect that, so you get the idea. I haven't set up a power down. Choices! I'll get back to you about this sometime around the end of the year @silverstackeruk!

But before that happens, we can all dig into our pockets one more time if we want to support the Trump family. Melania, Donald's lovely wife, has released another NFT Collection. This time Melania Trump wants "To the Moon". And to achieve that, she has honored us once again with a new NFT collection. Melania celebrates the historic moon landing of Apollo 11 with her collection. And hey, the fact that you can buy these NFTs for $75 each will certainly help her get a nice moonshot.

So when the bear market starts to bore you, just forget about the boring tokens and coins where you get nothing in return. And check out Melania's new collection. "To the moon with Melania". It could just be another slogan... but I'm afraid Melania is going to the moon alone, and the NFT you were to buy will depreciate very quickly. Perhaps "Look Before You Leap" would be more appropriate here.

Whether or not you are interested. Melania takes us on a cosmic journey with her NFTs to commemorate the historic event. What will be next? Whatever it is, the most important thing to remember is that the only direction worth going is "To the moon". Since that doesn't work so well with the regular tokens and coins at the moment, you might be able to visually spend $75 on an "Apollo 11 NFT" from Melania.
