A Prophecy

Web 3 is expanding.

It's no longer just hive, and they've learned, and they've learned well.

How? I have no idea, but there's deep experience, matureness, and thought went into what's ahead of us.

It's no longer the pains of early web3 that's in the future.

I shared the base announcement with my community last week and what's happening over there, but it's BIG. Huge big, massive on a scale that most people don't realise yet.

Many people ignored what I shared -- and it's normal. Before the iPhone was released to the world most people weren't paying attention there either.

But it's coming. Big business is in crypto now and they are going to want to do something with it. I've said this for years.

They're not shouting about it from mountaintops yet. Because they don't need to. What they have coming out is going to change the world forever.

In the same way Apple did.

It took kids from playing out in the street and having fun with their mates to online gaming at home. It really did change the world in a great way.

It's coming again.

At base they've just released The Base App -- it's only available to a few right now but they've built a complete social incubation system that houses the social and the financial -- it also hooks up to apps; business, financial, and social.

Whilst this doesn't seem much right now it's going to consume the entire web2 industry -- because they've thought about it, and they've thought about it hard.

What Web2 does amazingly well is centralization -- all apps in one place; where people can access whatever they need, whenever they want -- and it holds attention.

Attention is the currency of the internet -- whoever holds the attention of people win.

But web3 has always been of the mind that centralization is our enemy, it creates single points of failure, and it gatekeeps.

If you look at all the apps out there right now they don't encourage offsharing -- whenever you share something off an app it gets a huge deboost.

I get that -- it's because they want people's attention.

But Web3 has NOW solved all this.

They've just gone and said -- why don't we create everything all in one place -- liquidity, apps, social -- but everything stay decentralized. Everyone can have sovereignty.

And that is going to propel us into a new age -- where Web3 is just going to completely consume web2, and web2 will have to get with the program or die.

Oh they will squirm because it's going to topple tech titans.

But that's not all -- there are so many new projects being built for, and that will hook into base. And -- they are looking into Defi that connects everything. If you haven't looked yet, look into Agglayer.

The tech that's being built? It's future, and it's soon to arrive, and it's going to consume everything.

So what Now? What does one do with that information?

Well, projects are going to burn. And burn hard. If it's built on a mountain of fluff and has no soul -- people are going to sell out and run to the new world.

Titans are going to crumble, on web2 and web3 -- think with Apple came along it completely decimated the high street shopping -- this is going to do exactly the same.

Hive?

Well, Hive is going to see a massive exodus. Over at Base and Eth people are going to be able to get onboarded with email and have a string of cool apps that not only do amazing things for them but earn too.

Think earning without doing anything.

Hive is about to lose the serious edge we have over almost every chain out there and it's going to completely decimate us.

Those that write shit? There's no meaning to their work? It's just for the rewards?

Bye.

Nice knowing you friends -- it was worth it whilst it lasted.

The only people that are going to be left on hive are those that want to create art, and of course big whales that really can't sell out -- because you know, that's going to be really bad.

So we'll find ourselves at a crux, as the world crumbles around us we won't know what to do; we'll be lost in the ether.

Well, that's why I created The Flame. That's why I'm incubating artists, and people that write to feel.

This is my genre, what I'm good at, and I'm playing to my strengths.

I advise others to do that same that feel passionately about anything. Create a community and incubate artists. Ones you like reading; that will shine through.

There are people (like me) that will be here forever, and I'd rather not see the place that I love burn to ashes.

So we build for the future, not for the now.

In a month or two, this post will make so much more sense.

Every second I spend on other "social" networks sees me get fed advertising, rage bait, and a deep, deep disdain for what the Internet has become.

When I spend time on HIVE, I am reminded of the "old" Internet. Made up of organic, regular human beings. It is a place that doesn't fill me with the threat of rage, and a narrative controlled by corporates.

I can still (easily) see what the little people find to be special, beyond the single-sentence status updates of everything else.

This is why I picked you for The Flame, sir.

I see that you will be one to stay when the world burns.

Storytime: Whenever we'd do a fire drill at school, or later in my life, at work:

Gather at this evacuation point in the event of a fire.

Me: But I want to stay and watch it burn!

Oh bro! You speak a lot of things in my mind, particularly about hive. There is actually going to come that day when a lot of people will get frustrated and defeated that they can no longer be on hive because all they ever wanted was the rewards and nothing more.

Sometimes I wonder what will happen when hive goes to 0.001$. Do you want to imagine what will happen then? Hive will feel like a desert. People will stop writing. Only those who know what hive can truly give will stay and like you said, those with massive hive power.

The change is on us. It’s coming so fast and slow at the same time depending on who is looking at it, hehe.

Thank you. 🥰

Yup! That's exactly it :)

I don't think we have to worry - there will be no 0.001 -- however there will be a mass exodus and it will worry a lot of people.

But we will build, regardless of the price, and we will change hive at the core.

Soon, all eyes will be on us.

You watch :)

Yes. Yes. Hive won’t get there, hehe.

I’m watching and I’m trying as much as I can to be actively involved with the change too. 🥰

A nice informative post @brofund. I have a base account, having already had a coinbase wallet so I'm in already! 😁

Yes, I must admit I was completely unaware of this.
