Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

Since the Hoomans have managed to capture lots of cute new cat photos, it only seems fair that we have a midweek update.

Three cats in a bed!

It seems that the friendships between new cats and old have become thoroughly cemented in the past couple of weeks, sometimes to the degree that all three cats end up occupying a very small footprint together.

The Hoomans are only half joking when they say that Nala has become Shadow's girlfriend!

Meanwhile there are ever-rotating cat beds and nobody seems particularly possessive about which bed they get to sleep in with which cat.

Of course our old cat Smudge is not really part of this picture, because she mostly keeps to herself and sleeps most of the day.

All in all, we're very happy that everybody has found a happy home here and the Hoomans are pleased that they have managed to rescue a couple of kittens with otherwise bleak prospects.

Meanwhile, Shangri and Nala are growing quite quickly, Shangri is getting close to being the same size as Shadow! Well, he doesn't quite have the thickness through the middle but we're not going to talk about that.

We're a little bit concerned about Smudge, who is once again starting to show her age, and showing signs that she is not long for this world.

Of course she keeps hanging in there and proving us wrong but 20 years is a very good age for a cat!

At this point, we're only a couple of weeks away from her having been with us for three years... which is a lot longer than we originally that expected.

Regardless, we are happy that we were able to give her a peaceful place to live her golden years. And who knows? Some cats go on to live to be 25 years old or more!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
