Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

I hope this new week is treating you well so far, and that you had an excellent holiday weekend!

Today — May 26th — is a very special day around here, because it marks the 10th anniversary of my Hoomans adopting this tiny, scrawny black kitten with the excessively large ears from the local animal shelter!

It was actually the Daughter-Hooman who spotted me at the back of one of the enclosures, saying "Look, there's a little black one!" So, we dug up some kitten pictures from 10 years ago, for the occasion!

The Hoomans chose me immediately because they knew that black cats tend to be the last ones to be adopted, mostly because of old superstitions.

Of course, these are nonsense, and we all know that black cats make very loving and loyal feline companions!

As far as the Hoomans are concerned, we all "won the cat lottery" and everyone feels grateful and happy that we have gotten to share our lives.

Along the way, I have gotten to know other animal companions no longer with us, like BeBe and Kramer, and Daisy the dog... and new ones have joined us, like Smudge, Shangri and Nala.

It's interesting to consider that we have been publishing the "Curator Cat" blog for the majority of my life — it has been over eight years, now!

Hopefully, we'll keep going for many more years to come!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
