DIY- My First Macramé Bracelet
Today, after doing my chores and having nowhere to go, I became bored and so, I decided to visit a friend at her home, since it's been a long time since I visited them. Fortunately, I met her crafting, since she is a lover of craft, she was doing her thing and for the first time, I found interest in what she was doing and asked her to teach me.
She was crafting a bracelet using Yarn/cord rope depending on what you know it as, she said she was crafting the bracelet using the Macramé technique, which is the knotting method, rather than knitting or weaving.
She firstly tried to show me with her yarn what she was doing but we both realized that I wasn't getting, anything and it was looking so complicated, so while she used another colour of yarn to make what she was making, she decided to remove the green and red colours of yarn for me, so I could follow her every step.
Steps
I made a lot of mistakes at the beginning, and such too many times I had to lose and start all over again too many times, but I was persistent in learning, so regardless of how many times I made a mistake and she told me to start all over again, I did it, until I got correctly how to do the intertwining and inter-knotting work.
She took her time to teach me how to place one yarn on another, in between another yarn, and inside another yarn. While she took minutes to finish her own bracelet, I took hours to finish mine with a lot of trial and error, but finally, I made a beautiful bracelet for myself for the first time.
You all should expect more of my DIY Macramé Bracelet with different colours and different designs because I will be investing in this more.
