DIY Delights: Crochet Earrings

Hello Diyhubbers it’s me again, a crochet newbie and an enthusiastic learner. So I thought I’d share my work with you all, and I hope you all like it😃

As most of you know, I’m a crochet beginner, and I like to try my hand at beginner-friendly projects that don't overwhelm me but are simple enough to help strengthen my crocheting skills.

As a crochet beginner, making or attempting complex crochet styles is not proof that you are learning fast or killing it because most complex styles can discourage you from continuing as it makes you feel overwhelmed, tired, or discouraged.

Today, I decided to give jewelry-making a chance, and I am impressed with the result.
I made a set of earrings, and as a newbie, I’m super excited that everything turned out well.

To make this beautiful set of earrings, I used the following materials and followed the steps below.

Materials
Yarn
Crochet hook
Scissors
Earrings hook

Procedure

Step 1:
Start by measuring the length of the yarn you need to make the I-chord. Afterwards, proceed to make a slip knot.

Step 2:
Proceed to make your I-chords by passing your measured yarn over the hook and making a half-double crochet.

Step 3:
After making your I-chord, gently fold the chord and make a bow. Adjust the edges to make the bow well relaxed.

Step 4:
Attach the earring hooks to the bow, put some finishing touches, and Viola!! Your set of earrings are ready.

This is a beginner-friendly project, one that strengthens your knotting techniques. I highly recommend this crochet project for every beginner. Learning to make an I-chord is super cool as you might end up using it for various crochet projects in the future.
