A beautiful gift bag

We all have that one friend that we've been through thick and thin with, that friend who accepts us for who we are despite our excesses. These types of friends are not easy to find but they do exist and it’s safe to say that I do have one in my little corner and I’m stuck with her for life😃

As much as I tell her every time that I love and care about her and would do anything for her in a heartbeat, I still wanted to randomly give her a little gift. Was it her birthday? Nope, was she celebrating any occasion? Nope, the goal was just to make her smile 😃

Who said you need to break the bank before you can give your friend a gift? Today I’ll be sharing with you all how I made a simple gift bag with paper and a few simple materials and I hope it helps someone out there who wishes to do the same.

To create this beautiful gift bag I followed the steps below:

Materials
Cardboard paper
Ruler
A pair of scissors
Gum
Perforator
File tag

Procedure

Step 1:
Divide your paper into two equal parts, this is a small gift bag so we need the size of our paper to be moderate.

Step 2:
Fold your paper, and ensure you leave an extra space at one end as this would aid in giving your gift bag a more beautiful and professional look.

Step 3:
Apply your gum on the extra space and gum it together with the other part of the paper.

Step 4:
Making sure the two edges are attached, fold your paper back and front for easy flexibility and to give your paper the desired shape of a gift bag.

Step 5:
Satisfied with the flexibility of your paper open it and fold the two edges on both ends together.

Step 6:
Proceed to fold the base of your paper neatly, apply gum to hold it firmly, and attach it to the rest of your paper.

Step 7:
At this point your gift bag is almost ready but what’s a gift bag without an actual strap?
For the strap, cut your paper but this time way smaller than the size of the paper from earlier.

Divide the paper into two halves, use your perforator to bore two holes on each piece of paper, and attach your file tags afterward. Gently attach each strap to the gift bag and watch the transformation of your bag.
