And We Bead Bees 🐝 This Time

Hello there, 😊welcome back to my corner of the internet. And thank you for joining while I walk you through my latest beaded items. Yesterday, I decided to bead two bees and add them to our collection.

Bees are one of my favorite creatures, not only for their unique and beautiful nature but also for helping a great deal in maintaining our ecosystem and for providing us with one of the most precious liquids (honey) there is. It's my dream to rear some honey bees in the future, but in the meantime, come along and let me show you how to make this precious creature, and I hope that you enjoy it.

Items needed: I started with gathering the items I needed, which were:

✓black seed beads
✓white seed beads
✓ Two pink seed beads for the eyes
✓yellow seed beads
✓0.3 fishline
✓scissors

Step-by-step process:

Step 1:
I started by putting six yellow beads on a 120 cm fish line and crossed both sides with the sixth bead.

Step 2:
I put four beads on the left fish line and crossed both fish lines with the fourth bead.

Step 3:
I passed my right fishline through the next bead, put three beads on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with the third bead.

Step 4:
I repeated step 3 above three more times, and I ended the row by passing my right fishline through the next two beads and then put two beads on my left fishline and crossed both fishlines with the second bead.

Step 5:
To start a new row, I put one yellow bead, one pink bead, and one black bead on the left fish line and crossed both fish lines with the black bead.

Step 6:
I put two yellow beads on the left fish line and crossed both fish lines with the second bead.

Step 7:
I put one black and one yellow bead on the left fish line and crossed both fish lines with the yellow bead.

Step 8:
I put one pink and one yellow bead on the left fish line and crossed both fish lines with the yellow bead.

Step 9:
I passed my right fishline through the next bead, put two yellow beads on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with the second bead.

Step 10:
Using yellow beads, I repeated step 9 above six more times, and to finish the row, I passed my right fishline through the next two beads and used one bead to cross both fishlines.

Step 11:
I started a new row by putting three black beads on the left fish line and crossing both fish lines with the third bead.

Step 12:
I passed my right fishline through the next bead, put two beads on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with the second bead.

Step 13:
This row is black all through, so I continued to repeat step 12 above until I got to the last one, where I passed my right fishline through the next two beads and used one bead to cross both lines.

Step 14:
I put three yellow beads on the right fish line and crossed both fish lines with the third bead.

Step 15:
I continued to pass my right fishline through the next bead and added two beads until I reached the last two beads. So I passed the right fishline through the next two beads and then crossed both fishlines with one bead.

Step 16:
Here, I passed my right fishline through the next bead, put three black beads on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with the third bead.

Step 17:
I passed my right fishline through the next two beads, put two beads on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with the second bead.

Step 18:
I repeated step 17 above and then stuffed nylon inside the bead to make the work strong.

Step 19:

I end this row with black beads. I then passed my fishline through the last row of beads, tied the knots, and trimmed off the excess fishlines.

Step 20:
Here is the start of making the bee's antennas: I passed my fishline until it came out on the third and sixth bead at the starting point of the bee's head, and then I put one yellow and one black bead on one of the fishlines and then passed the fishlines through the yellow beads, I repeated same for the second fishline passed the two fishlines around, and tied the knots.

Step 21:
To bead the wings with white beads, I cut a little fishline and attached it to one of the black beads close to the pink, and I put one bead on the right fishline, three beads on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with the third bead from the left side.

Step 22:
I put three beads on the right fishline and crossed both fishlines with the third bead. From there, I passed my left fishline through the next bead, put two beads on the left fishline, and crossed both fishlines with the two beads.

Step 23:
Here I put one bead on the left fishline and then passed the fishline through the next bead.

Step 24:
I put one bead on the left fishline and then passed the fishline through the next bead; I brought the two fishlines out on the black bead at the base, tied the knots, passed the fishlines around, and trimmed off the excess fishlines.

Step 25:
I simply repeat step 24 above to make the other wing of the bee. And here is the final look. I hope that you like it.

I made two, one for my son and one for my God's daughter.
