Havana Magic / Magia Habanera (Eng/Esp)

I spent ten years of my life living in Havana City. It´s been the hardest, darkest and most beautiful years in my life.

Havana is not a city for weak people. You have to be a warrior and fight for every step you make, for every breath you take. Much more if you´re not born in Havana or official resident in the city. For absurd you may think it is, there are laws that pursuit people from other provinces: can´t have a regular job, can´t take a an official job offer in companies or state places.

But if you are able to survive through that, then you will find Havana as one of the most magical places you´ll ever see.

I made these photos during a recent travel to Havana, with my cellphone (which someone tried to steal from me, just arriving). As I told you before, Havana is not a city for weak people. I forgive the city, and give you all these photos of my trip.

Pasé diez años de mi vida viviendo en Ciudad de La Habana. Han sido los años más duros, oscuros y hermosos de mi vida.

La Habana no es una ciudad para gente débil. Tienes que ser un guerrero y luchar por cada paso que das, por cada bocanada de aire que tomas. Mucho más si no eres nacido en La Habana o residente oficial en la ciudad. Por absurdo que creas que es, hay leyes que persiguen a las personas de otras provincias: no pueden tener un trabajo regular, no pueden aceptar una oferta de trabajo oficial en empresas o lugares del estado. Pero si eres capaz de sobrevivir a eso, entonces encontrarás La Habana como uno de los lugares más mágicos que jamás hayas visto.

Estas fotos las hice durante un reciente viaje a La Habana, con mi celular (que alguien me intentó robar, recién llegado). Como les dije antes, La Habana no es una ciudad para débiles. Perdono a la ciudad, y les dejo a ustedes estas fotos de mi viaje.
