-Today, we descend even deeper into the shadows of Necron lore... Biotransference: The Path to Immortality – and the Death of a Soul

"When the Silent King saw what had been done, he knew at last the true nature of the C'tan, and of the doom they had wrought in his name." — Book of Mournful Night

Eternal Sacrifice for Immortality

Long ago, the Necrontyr were a dying race. Their bodies were frail, cursed by cosmic radiation, and their lifespan bitterly short. But in their desperation for a cure, they turned to the C'tan-ancient star-born entities of hunger and power. The price of the Necrontyr’s salvation? Everything.♾️

The process was called Biotransference—the complete replacement of flesh with immortal necrodermis. Souls were consumed, minds hollowed, and what emerged were not Necrontyr, but Necrons: eternal, soulless, and utterly bound to the will of the Silent King.

At first glance, it seemed a triumph. The Necrons rose with cold strength and unfeeling clarity. No disease, no death, only endless purpose. But the truth quickly revealed itself. The C'tan had fed on their essence, feasting upon the energy of billions of souls like carrion gods at a banquet.👻

a High price for a god-like gift

The Silent King, Szarekh, realized too late: in his pursuit of immortality for his people, he had made them slaves—not just to metal bodies, but to a hollow eternity. The very spark of individuality had been snuffed out in most. Only the highest-ranking lords retained shreds of memory or emotion. The rest became echoes, little more than automata, marching at command with mechanical precision and no sense of self.

Biotransference granted god-like durability—but at the cost of soul, of purpose, of meaning.🌌

Eternal Tomb of metal

Now, the Necrons wander the stars like phantoms, immortal husks haunted by forgotten identities, their hatred for the living burning brighter with every aeon. They look upon the younger races—full of life, full of chaos—with a cold envy and ancient rage. To them, life is a lie, a fleeting ember. And they, the Necrons, are the final extinguishing hand.

Biotransference was not evolution. It was damnation—writ in living metal...☠️🤖
