Genesis League Goals Major Update
Genesis League Goals is a football themed game. This is the first game introduced by Genesis League Sports, a company related to Splinterlands and Arcade Colony. While Splinterlands is focused on fantasy card game and Arcade Colony is on to porting arcade games to web3, Genesis League Sports is bringing #sports themed games to hive. Aside from #woo which is about wrestling, there are no other sports themed games on hive engine.
Recently, it was announced in the discord channel about the update to the game. The update is about the new player images and names. Instead of actual players, the new images are designed by the devs.
As the new players images and names are designed by the devs, this allows the game to be more flexible and introduce more nationalities in the game. Available in the market are cards with low prices that will appeal to soccer fans from around the globe. The cards feature players from around the world including Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
There are seven players needed to form a team in Genesis League Goals. A team requires two forwards, two midfielders, two defenders and a goalie.
In addition to the players, a team will also need a coach. Coaches provide both buffs to the team and debuffs to the opponent team. The coach skills are further discussed in the game guide link below.

Genesis League Sports is a pioneering sports themed company on Hive. Genesis League Goals is the first game they released with more games in the future like American football, NBA basketball or fantasy games like Harry Potter's Quidditch. There are a lot of possibilities for future development. I would wish for a chess themed game. There are already games in development like Anichess by chess.com and Chess Universe. I hope there will be one on hive engine too.

They initially sold the packs for app. 4$, now you can try to sell them on the market for 0.25 Hive. So much for the success of that game.
They are updating the game recently. Maybe it will have a revival soon, like Splinterlands having a successful year so far.
