Hive has been my home for a long time now. I have been involved with the blockchain for over four years, and the count is still growing. It has been a rollercoaster of a journey on Hive, and I have met many people, had fun, and engaged with beautiful content that has helped me improve and grow, as well.
It’s not easy leaving such a platform that has been part of me and given me a space to explore and be myself.
I remember how it all started; I had zero motivation for the first few months because I was only here for the money but along the line, I became more acquainted with the platform and was involved in so many things just because I wanted to be here every time, being active and doing what I enjoyed doing.
Absolutely, Hive has been super-blessing to many of us here, and wouldn’t it be unfair not to be grateful for such an opportunity?
In a world filled with so many uncertainties, no jobs, no voice and the like, but here is a platform that has kept us busy and at the same time earning to survive. I would say Hive came as a blessing to me when I needed a place to help myself and thanks to the Almighty God.
As I look back now, I see how deeply Hive has shaped my journey and why it continues to mean so much to me.
What keeps me active on Hive?
One thing I would say is the loads of content I get to read every day here. You would agree with me that Hive has a great number of users from different countries who’d share their daily lives and struggles.
They share all kinds of interesting stories and experiences and this is one thing that has kept me active because I do know for sure that I am never going to get bored once I get here. I know the right communities to connect with and read amazing stories, which has also helped motivate me to come up with mine.
There are posts I read, and once I get to know they are from one prompt to another, instantly, it ignites some experiences from the past that I wouldn’t want to miss sharing mine and viola, I click on it and share something similar.
It has been super interesting for me that I never once thought of not writing anything every day. Hive became a space where reading and writing flow naturally.
Why do I do it?
If the question was, Why do I stay active on Hive, then that’s something beautiful to share. Hive isn’t just any kind of social media out there. I prefer to be in a place where I grow and connect with like-minded people, not toxic like other social platforms.
People here are friendly and considerate; I have never been insulted or looked down upon here since my stay and I think I don’t want something that would affect my emotional and mental health. Who wouldn’t be here with all of these?
You would agree that Hive is so different from other platforms because things are done in an organised and committed way rather than out there. Besides, it’s a place that encourages investment via Hive power-up and Hbd savings.
So far, I have enjoyed many things from this platform and I wouldn’t want to stop existing here. I told a friend one time that unless Hive stops working, I would also leave.
No matter how low the price is, it’s always fun for me to share my experiences with people and the comments I receive in return are always positive and encouraging. Hive is a good environment to stay in.
For me, Hive is more than a platform. It’s a community that feels safe, supportive, and genuinely inspiring.

What’s my motivation on Hive?
It’s no other than keeping my toes here by sharing my everyday posts without missing a day. I know how it can be hard most days to come up with a post to write, but the fact that I know writing is helping me daily is something that keeps me going and motivated, never to stop but to keep going.
Another motivation it gives me is that the likes of others I have seen sharing their experiences make me feel more comfortable that if these people could show up daily, why not me?
It’s not like I am in a competition but knowing that I am part of those who still love this platform and would stay no matter how things go is what motivates me more.
Then the last motivation is that it helps me sort out essential bills for myself. I used to be grateful to God for giving me such a platform like this to keep me busy and not lazy.
The scripture says no food for a lazy man, and for me not to become unproductive or not add value to myself and family, I need to be up and doing while letting God bless the work of my hands.
Meanwhile, spending over four years on the chain has really helped me understand how writing works. It has helped me become creative so that I don’t find it difficult to come up with 600-800 words in a few minutes.
I wouldn’t have achieved this without constant practice of writing on Hive and I can confidently say I am a writer.
As each year moved by, Hive continues to refine me, not just as a Hivian, but as a writer, a thinker, and a more disciplined person.

I believe this is an interesting initiative to write on. On this note, I am inviting @nkemakonam89, @funshee, and @merit.ahama to come share their stories. Here is the link

Thank you.
So many reasons to be on Hive platform, from helping us grow in all ramifications to meeting people who will continue to inspire you to always put in your best.
