HIVING INTO FEBRUARY / HPUD
Hello folks, it's February 1st, and I guess you know what the day's about on Hive. But in case you don't know, it's Hive Power Up Day!, #hpud. It's a day set aside for users to power up or stake their Hive tokens to grow their stake - Hive power.
Not that you can't power up any day of the month, but participating on the 1st comes with so many benefits. For one, you'd get a power up badge from Hivebuzz, that's if you're able to power up at least 10 Hive, which is the minimum for HPUD. But hey, don't worry if you don't have up to that, you can still participate and share a post about it, just like I've done. You'd also get a chance to win HP delegation from the community and some whales who support the #hpud. You know what that means - more curation rewards.
In all of these, the main essence of HPUD is to grow your stake - which gives you the right to participate in the workings on Hive and engage in the community - publishing a post, curating, supporting a witness or project etc. And every single Hive token counts. You gerrit? 😂
I must tell you this, since I joined Hive three years ago, I've been intentional with participating in the monthly HPUD, and I'll continue to do so. This is just one way I'm helping to support the growth of the ecosystem, plus building my stake too.
Talking about building stake, January HPUD had me unlocking a milestone of 5,000 HP after powering up 74 $HIVE. I started the year big, lol. And from January 1st to 31st, I was able to accumulate 219 HP - all which came from posts' rewards, curation rewards, delegations, and contest prizes. So January wrapped up with 5,219 HP. Nice!
So for this month, I powered up 31 $HIVE to bring my stake to a round number of 5,250 HP. Amazing!
We're just two months away and I've achieved about 12.5% of my 7,000 HP target! Isn't that great? If I continue with this pace, I might crush it on or before the third quarter of the year. By then, I might even make it to Dolphin. That would be absolutely awesome!
Till then, I'll continue grinding and investing too because I'm here for the long term! As long as Hive exists and thrives, I'll be here. Copy that! Hehehe.
