Hello my dear fellow hivers in this lovely @hiveph community! This is me again “LJ”, and welcome to my blog where I share my wonderful experiences and life stories.
Yesterday, since the weather was finally clear and calm after days of gloomy skies, we thought it would be nice to spend some time outdoors. My husband and I decided to spend the afternoon together, just the two of us. Instead of staying home, we thought of hanging out at the Seawall in Dancalan, a place we both love for its relaxing breeze and scenic view of the ocean.
Before heading there, we stopped by a small lomihan nearby for merienda. The place looked simple but it had that homey charm that made us feel comfortable right away. We ordered a bowl of hot mami, fries, and tapsilog.
As soon the first spoonful touched my mouth, I was reminded of why I love comfort food so much. The noodles were soft, the broth was flavorful, and every bite was satisfying. The fries and tapsilog were delicious as well. I looked at my husband as he ate, and we both laughed, realizing how much we were enjoying something so simple. Sometimes, it’s these little meals together that feel more special than big occasions.
After finishing our merienda, we decided to rode in our e-bike and make our way to the seawall. Riding together felt fun and lighthearted, like we were two kids on a mini adventure. The wind brushed against our faces as we passed by familiar streets, and the short ride made me realize how refreshing it is to do something different once in a while. My husband drove while I sat behind him, holding on, and I couldn’t stop smiling at how carefree the moment felt.
When we reached the seawall, the sight of the ocean immediately made the trip worthwhile. The waves were calm gently hitting the wall, and the horizon stretched endlessly in front of us. The afternoon sun reflected beautifully on the water, making it sparkle like a sheet of glass. We found a spot to sit down and just enjoyed the moment. The breeze was cool, carrying with it the salty scent of the sea, and it felt so relaxing.
We talked a lot while sitting there. It was so nice to have someone that makes you feel at peace. Watching the waves together, reminded me how grateful I am for these quiet moment with my husband.
As the sky started to change colors, hinting a sunset, I realized how perfect tha afternoon had been. It wasn’t grand or extravagant, but it was exactly what we needed. The good food, fun ride and the calming presence of the sea. Most of all, it was about being together, just me and my husband sharing another wonderful memory to treasure forever.
And that’s it for today’s blog! Thank you for droppin’ by and reading my story for today. I hope to see you on my next one. Have a nice day ahead to all of us!
Be safe everyone! Godbless!
