Hello Hivers! How's your Saturday? This is my first time posting in this community. I would like to share my Saturday with you. After my morning work, I received a message from my husband that they will come to my work and we will watch a movie. Usually I go by bus, it's the means of transportation here in Slovakia. So there was no need and I waited for them. While waiting I need to go drink coffee because it's free at work. And I received a call that they were already in the parking area. I went outside, And my daughter was so happy and excited to watch a movie. I got excited and I really want to watch Final Destination: The Bloodlines. Kids are with us and it's Rated 18+ the movie, so no chance at all. I knew it would be something special or more of a family-friendly movie.
Finally, we arrived at the cinema or they called it “Kino" here in Slovakia. I asked my husband what we would watch. And he says. Dobrodružstvo na Divokom Západe, the Slovak title for the film Wild West Adventure (Buffalo Kids.) I never heard it before and it's so interesting. The genres are kids and family, comedy, animation and adventure.
Here in Slovakia, most movies for children are dubbed in Slovak and even the English ones need to be dubbed too. I'm not fluent in Slovak, I'm Filipina and my daughter Aya. But Aya speaks Slovak. If I don't understand, my husband was there to translate it for me.
Watching the film was filled with excitement and also tummies for popcorn and nachos. Aya likes popcorn, Zoe went for nachos and my husband and I shared a large popcorn.
The movie was all about the two orphans named Mary and Tom. Who arrived in New York City in 1886. Their adventure begins when they board on the orphan train. Actually it's a real historical event that transported many children across the U.S. in search of families. Then, they meet a special friend who changes their lives. Of course in movies and real life there are always villains. They face villains, challenges happen and friendships are gained. They have life-changing experiences.
The film is based on real events and is dedicated to the memory of the real Nick. Nick is the director’s own son Nico and who shared the same rare disease.

That layer of truth gave the story even more emotional weight. I had tears in my eyes by the end. The animation was heartwarming, the humor made the kids giggle, and the storyline was deep enough to make me emotional and other parents too who watched the movie will agree with me.
After the movie, I thank my husband for choosing this movie. It's a great choice. Then, we decided to head home instead of eating out. Coz tomorrow,we will have our family lunch. Then siesta after lunch. It was a peaceful afternoon. It's so simple Saturday with my family.
We ended up watching something more meaningful. And I’m with the people that I love most, my Family. Saturday's movie experience was special to me.
Our hearts are full and happy kids. Until our next family cinema day!
