A Simple Gala Night Filled with Love, Food, and Family Bonding

Hello Hive Community! 💛
Good day to everyone who is reading this. I am so happy to be here again and to share another simple yet meaningful story from our day. Today, I want to tell you about our little gala bonding after my night class yesterday—nothing fancy, just real moments filled with love, hunger, laughter, and togetherness.

Yesterday was a long day for me. I had my night class, and as usual, it ended around 9:00 o’clock in the evening. After a whole day of responsibilities, lessons, and mental work, I could already feel my stomach complaining. I remember messaging my husband while I was still in class and telling him honestly, “I’m hungry. I want to eat outside after my class.” Without hesitation, he replied with support and excitement. He told me that while I was finishing my class, he would dress up our son and get everything ready so that once I arrived, we could go straight to our little food trip.

That simple message already made me smile. It felt comforting to know that even after a tiring day, I had something to look forward to—good food and quality time with my family.

After my class finally ended True to his word, my husband had already dressed our son. Seeing them both waiting for me warmed my heart. No matter how tired I was, that moment instantly gave me energy. We didn’t waste time; we were all excited and ready to go. Our plan was simple: eat what we wanted and enjoy the night together.

Our first stop was Rio’s Panciteria, known for serving one of the best batil patong in our place. If you’re from Tuguegarao or nearby areas, you probably know how special batil patong is. It’s not just food—it’s comfort, culture, and happiness in one bowl. When we arrived, we found out that we were already the last customers of the night. The store was about to close, and because it was already late, we were not allowed to dine in.

Even so, we didn’t feel disappointed. Sometimes, take-out meals feel even more special, especially when you know you’ll be enjoying them at home together.

I ordered one loaded batil patong to share for my husband and our son. For myself, I chose the special pancit sabaw, which they only allow one order for take-out. The smell alone already made us more excited. While waiting, I could see my son’s curiosity and happiness. Even at his young age, he already enjoys going out with us, especially when food is involved.

After getting our orders, we were ready to head home—but the night wasn’t over yet. While we were on the way, my husband suddenly said that he was craving for a burger. Of course, I agreed right away. Food cravings don’t wait, and bonding moments shouldn’t either.

So, our next stop was Frank’s. We ordered a chili cheese footlong, good for two. We waited for several minutes, chatting casually and just enjoying each other’s presence. There was no rush, no pressure—just us, enjoying the simplicity of the moment.

Finally, with all our food in hand, we headed home. By the time we arrived, we were all tired but very happy. Without any formal setup, we prepared our food spontaneously. No fancy table arrangement, no perfect lighting—just honest happiness shared over warm meals.

We enjoyed the hot soup of the pancit sabaw, which was perfect for the night. The batil patong was as delicious as ever, rich in flavor and truly satisfying. Watching my husband and my son eat happily made the food taste even better. Those are the moments that make everything worth it—the tiredness, the long day, the stress.

As we ate, we talked, laughed, and simply enjoyed being together. It reminded me that happiness doesn’t always come from big plans or expensive trips. Sometimes, it’s found in late-night food trips, take-out meals, and family conversations at home.

If you ever want to try batil patong, I highly recommend visiting Rio’s Panciteria here in Echague, Isabela. It’s definitely worth it, especially if you want to experience authentic local comfort food.

I hope you enjoyed reading my simple sharing today. This gala night may have been simple, but it was filled with love, excitement, and genuine happiness. These are the moments I truly treasure—moments that remind me why family time is so important.

Thank you so much, Hive community, for always taking the time to read my stories. I am happy to see you all here again.
Take care, stay safe, and have a nice day! 💛
