The Day I Came Home Again

Today was a beautiful day for me and for my family. It marks the beginning of a new journey for us. Since August last year until just yesterday, I had been staying at my boarding house. Every weekend, I was also in work mode, so I didn’t really have much time to spend with my family.

But God is good. Last Monday, my father received good news from his niece in Singapore. She told him that there is a job waiting for him in Davao. It only needs his approval, and once he agrees, his ticket will be booked.

That Monday, I was at school. While I was scrolling through my phone, I received a message from my father telling me to inform my mother that she might need to stop working at the teacher’s house. However, my mother still has a debt for her reading glasses, so she cannot simply stop working right away. As the eldest child, and since I only have classes two days a week, I decided to give way and stay at home to guide my brothers and prepare everything they need for school.

So this is how it feels to be home again.

But today, I want to share something very special and close to my heart — my dream house. Our current house isn’t really ours; we are just staying in my father’s sister’s house. Because of that, my father started building our own house — our new home.

And that’s what I’m going to share today. I will be visiting the house with my two cute little brothers. They are like my closest friends. So come with me as we explore the place that I call our “new home".

As we walked up, I enjoyed taking photos of my two brothers while they explored the place—looking around, curious about everything, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings ✨🌿

On our way, we passed by this river. It has been here since the first day we stepped foot in Bohol. I still remember how scared I was back then whenever I tried to look at it.

But now, the bridge already has a fence, making it safer than before. My two little brothers happily enjoyed watching the small river while standing on the bridge

We are almost there in our house, as you can see in the photo.

So here we are. This is just a small beginning of our new home but I do believe what God has started He will finished. I am looking forward for a future improvements soon.

On our way home, we discovered a small mountain hidden beside the road. Out of curiosity, we decided to explore it. When we got closer, we saw a cow quietly resting there. The place felt like a tiny mountain escape, and as always, it amazed me.

And without a doubt, there we were, enjoying a simple moment under the sunlight. Hahaha, what a beautiful memory! We took more selfies to remember this humble beginning, and my brothers even took a photo of me while I was quietly enjoying the beauty of the place.📸

Moments like this remind me that happiness doesn’t always come from big things, but from simple times spent with the people we love. This day will always be one of the memories I will treasure in my heart.
