Hi everyone! Today, I’m excited to share one of the final major activities of our Supreme Student Government organization, where I proudly serve as an officer.

Before anything else, let me share a bit of the story. It was really cool because at that time, they were also celebrating the 32nd Founding Anniversary of their school. They had different contests, as well as an opening program that featured a presentation by the drum and lyre corps students. I was truly glad to be part of this meaningful event.

It was an outreach program of the SSG (Supreme Student Government) Organization. Actually, it consisted of two outreach activities from two high schools in Mabini. The theme of our outreach program was designed especially for student leaders. Our audience were leaders from their respective schools called SSLG officers, which stands for Supreme Student Learner Government officers.

It's all about leadership training for this young leaders

Our first stop was in Concepcion, Mabini, Bohol, where one of the SSG officers graduated. Their high school was so beautiful and amazing. On the opposite side of the school, there is a huge mountain that reflects breathtaking beauty. I was totally amazed when I arrived at the place.

These are the proud student leaders of Concepcion, Mabini, Bohol, together with the SSG officers of BISU Candijay. They have a very beautiful flagpole, and on the opposite side of it, you can see an overlooking view of the mountain

These are the student leaders, both former and soon-to-be leaders. What I appreciate most about them is that they are interactive, actively participate, and listen carefully. I also admired how energetic their SSLG adviser was. They have definitely learned more about leadership in society. Even I have learned many lessons from all three resource speakers.

It was actually my first time there, and I already appreciated the place even just from the entrance. Their school is very wide and spacious, with so many rooms, and the stage is quite big. Little did I know that the school has more than 1,500 students — which explains its size. It was truly such an honor to become part of this school and experience such an amazing environment.

These are their leaders—specifically the junior high leaders, since the senior high students were quite busy with their oral defense. They are very participative and creative as well.

This is myself in my uniform, I am very happy with my uniform 😊

In conclusion, I am truly delighted. This leadership training was not only intended for the high school student leaders, but also for me. I have learned so much about accountability, inclusivity, and transparency—especially in handling issues and conflicts among students. I also learned the importance of “think before you click” and “pause before you post,” which highlights how powerful the digital age is. Social media greatly influences leadership because who we are online reflects who we are in person. That is why it is important to be wise in using the internet.

I have learned enough to start building a strong foundation in becoming a better leader. I am grateful for this opportunity. Although I was unexpectedly elected, this journey has been meaningful. I was able to meet new people and explore new places. However, I must admit that leadership is not easy. It can feel heavy at times because taking full responsibility is a serious commitment. I have experienced many situations in life that involve responsibility, and it is never easy.

After this school year, I plan to focus on my course, Computer Science, because it is not an easy program and it requires full attention and dedication.

That’s all for my story today. Thank you for reading.
