Hello everyone, happy New Year! It was a simple celebration we had last night. We didn’t cook because we just ordered sets of food from a friend that costs 3,400 for package. The package has 3 kilograms of Lechon belly, Four Seasons, Spaghetti and fried chicken with free 1 liter of Coke. We were just 6 in the house, unlike before when we were 15 with our relatives around. It makes me feel sad a little when I reminisce how we celebrated New Year before. The house was full of people, joyful and lively. But some people leave and change, that’s life. Maybe I’m just sad because I always like a one big happy family. Yet, we may not spent New Year together the way we did before, our happy memories are always there.

This is a pork belly that is 3 kilograms. Because it was catered, we expected it to be crunchy, but it wasn’t. At home, we don’t feel the excitement when we’re the one who cook. If we just buy the food, we always expect a better taste. But this pork belly they made was a huge disappointment. However, it was the only viand I put on my plate last night. This morning, I think we will cook it again into Lechon Paksiw. The way we make a lechon paksiw is a different version because we add the Mang Tomas sauce. It’s yummy! I also love the pure Lechon Paksiw which we only add the vinegar and seasonings, but my family loves the version with Mang Tomas. Even if it looks smaller, we still have more of this in the fridge because my family chose desserts more.

The kids loved the fried chicken, but there are still many of it in the fridge. Honestly, I like the fried chicken version when coated only with egg and Crispy Fry. It’s a fried chicken coating that smells flavorful and tastes perfectly. I thought that we were the one who cook fried chicken, but we were so tired. I also don’t like to cook at home because there are many utensils to be washed so we struggled the flavorless taste of their kind of fried chicken. I was really disappointed with their tastes and I realized that if only we were the ones that cooked it,maybe the kids will love it more.

We call this Pinoy dish a Four Season but some people said it’s also a Chop Suey. When we started to eat, it was the first one I put on my plate. I love vegetables and the egg topping is inviting. However, it smelled bad already. It was already spoiled. The plating looks good but tasteless. It was the worst food we ever experienced on New Year. My mother was very upset because she was the one who ordered these.

My family loves their Butterred Shrimp. What we see in the picture meets its good taste. It is cooked with butter, onion, garlic, ground pepper, and salt. This was also my favorite, but I started to realize that I’m allergic to shrimps. After I eat a piece of shrimp, my tongue can feel the itch as well as my mouth. I’m scared to eat this one. I thought that the shrimp wasn’t just fresh, but when my family said they don’t itch, I realized I’m allergic. I remember when I ate a coconut larvae before. I felt like I’m dying when I lost my hearing, sight and my skin began to swell. Right now I’m alive because I aided myself by eating a lot of brown sugar. It it’ll happen in my body now in my 30s, I’m scared I couldn’t handle the panic attach because my body isn’t that energetic like before. I feel so frail these days.

This is the Spaghetti that the kids at home really love. Even if their Lechon Belly, Fried Chicken and Four Seasons are tasteless, this is their best food so far. At least the kids were happy and it’s enough for us. However, I wish that my mother will choose a legit Catering Service with tastiest foods in town for the next occasions. The problem is, she will never learn. LoL! Last year on September, she ordered 25 kilograms of Lechon online and it was very tiny when delivered at home. We were very upset. On December, she ordered an online a Christmas Decor, but what was inside the parcel? It was a steel wool she paid for 699 pesos. I thought she would have learned from those scams, but she did it again. Anyway, at least we had food on the table and the kids were happy. Happy New Year everyone!
