Today's Mass for the Lord - A Day To offer our Time, To Reflect, and Be Thankful To GOD

Hello hivers, it’s me again. Today is Lord’s Day that’s why I gone to the church even it’s raining. The typhoon stopped but there’s another typhoon coming again. It’s ten o’clock in the morning when I began to walk and wait for a ride in the jeepney since it’s the only convenient and cheap transportation going to the city or any part of the place.

Gladly that I wore a jacket since I’m that person who used not to wearing thick jackets.I'm the second one who ride in the jeepney, the other one is at the front seat of the driver. It took me twenty-minutes when I arrived in the city going to the church.
I choose this footstep heading towards the church.While I stepped in the footstep, I passed through women selling sampaguitas.

I took these photos of different Saints. I was amazed of these statues that being built here. Every Catholic Churches, they have statues and the names were printed.

As I was near, I can think but to feel the presence of the Lord. I felt mixed emotions. I am not that person who always go to the church but I always feel that GOD is always by my side. Even I did many worst things, and I am a sinner, I always felt his love, his guidance, his protection wherever I go – all his constant healing, I’m always thankful.

I entered the church happily and find a vacant seat beside these aunties. The start of the third mass is not yet begun. A lot of churchmates are here and it is evident that they praise and worship God. It's really amazing to be here. A place to reflect, connect, and ask for his forgiveness. A place to date with family, friends, and even love ones.

After fifteen minutes, the priest starts the mass. I’m amazed that these elder women were the one who were lector who reads the Scriptures.

Then going to the HOMILY, the priest highlighted about the HOSPITALITY OF FILIPINOS (by the way, this father is a Korean and just assigned in the Philippines particularly at this church). He said that, when he was in Kapangan (a municipality in my province), he witnessed how welcoming the people there wherein they offer home to stay, food to eat even they do not know that person. He added too that it was his first time to witnessed such, and he believed it’s in the hearts of Filipino to be like this. I’m amazed hearing those words. He then continued about Maria who bare a child that mothers should prepare for the coming (being born) of their child that they should ready the things needed like clothes, food, and other things necessity for the child.

I can really say that his HOMILY touches many hearts. After the mass, I can breathe lighter that I give the time to attend the mass. I felt that I am complete because without God, I am nothing.

So, while leaving, I took photos on this part; it’s the entrance part of the Cathedral. We have this statues of Mother Mary and Jesus too. People also took photos here especially those who loves to take photos after the mass. By the way, this is a Cathedral where our Bishop stays. This Cathedral is the principal church of a diocese wherein when there’s celebration like Diocesan Mass, ordination Mass, Anniversaries, and many more, it transpired here. So, you can really enjoy every celebrations, not just because the church is huge and the surroundings are instagrammable but the presence of everyone dancing, and celebrating with the Lord.

After this, I headed to the terminal of jeepneys but before this, I decided to buy fruits. I bought dragon fruit, watermelon, and papaya. They are sliced and worth of twenty pesos each pack. While I’m at the front seat of the jeep, I feel hungry so I took a slice of dragon fruit and watermelon.
