Hello everyone!
In the Philippines, feeding programs have become an important part of many daycare activities. As a parent, I appreciate this kind of program because it is not only about giving food to children, it is also about teaching them healthy eating habits little by little.

When we first started our feeding program, some of the kids were hesitant to eat vegetables. One of the recipes they did not like at first was monggo. Some would look at their food and refuse to eat, especially when they saw vegetables mixed into their meals.

But children are children. They need time, patience, and consistency.

This week, we were so happy to see that all of them are now eating! Seeing those little plates being finished may seem like a small thing, but for us parents and daycare workers, it is a big achievement.

It reminds us that when we consistently introduce healthy foods to children, they can eventually learn to appreciate them. We should not give up just because they refuse vegetables the first few times. Sometimes, they simply need more exposure, encouragement, and a little patience.

We are also very thankful for the support from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), which provides the children with juices, biscuits, and other snacks. This is a big help to us parents.

With the rising cost of living today, every little help matters. Because of this program, there are days when we no longer have to worry about buying snacks to put in our children's baon. It may seem simple, but for families trying to stretch their budget, it means a lot.

Every child is unique. Some children may be slower to adjust, while others may become active and enthusiastic right away. And that's okay.
Progress doesn't always happen overnight. Sometimes, it happens one spoonful at a time.

As long as we continue guiding, encouraging, and feeding our children healthy food consistently, we can trust that little by little, they will grow stronger and healthier.
