Yesterday, my mother-in-law invited us all for dinner, and it was a joyful gathering with a wonderful mix of family members. Aunties, uncles, cousins, and their children all came together to share in a special time. We spent the evening talking and catching up, as it's always hard to meet up during Christmas and New Year with everyone having their own extended families to visit. Despite the busy holiday season, it was heartwarming to see that, no matter how hectic life gets, we all still make time for one another.
The food was simple but absolutely delicious. My mother-in-law had chosen a wonderful Indian restaurant in Kajang to cater the meal, and the flavors were exceptional. Everyone, including the kids, enjoyed the spread, especially the Indian desserts which were a big hit. It was a reminder that sometimes, the most memorable meals don’t need to be elaborate—they’re just about good food and the company of loved ones.
As we sat together, we also made plans to meet up again after Chinese New Year, on February 1. For that event, more family members will be joining us, including cousins, uncles, and aunties from abroad. It will be an even bigger gathering, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again. The excitement is already building, and I can tell it will be another memorable celebration.
What I truly love about my husband’s family is their warmth and openness. They don't have many rules or expectations; the most important thing is simply being yourself, as long as you’re a kind and good person. From the moment I first met them, they made me feel completely at home, as if I had been part of the family all along. It’s amazing how much love and acceptance they give, not just to me but also to my children, who are from the Philippines. They treat them as if they were their own blood, and that gesture means the world to me.
I am grateful for this kind of family, where love, respect, and acceptance are at the core of everything. It's a place where we can continue to cherish each other and grow closer with each passing year. I look forward to more moments like yesterday, where the bonds of family grow stronger, no matter how far apart we may be throughout the year.

We also do this last Christmas up until New year, some were drinking alcoholic drinks and talking with their friends, relatives, and families.
It's one of the greatest memory that we've made together because we are complete at that time.
I agreed, when you meet the people close to your hurt you don't have to pretend just be yourself and you won't be judge, just full of joy, its truly a great feeling.
OMG the food looks really good, I could smell just by looking at them! 😍 Awesome to have a great time with family. It's rare for me to encounter people with great in-laws relationship, you're truly lucky to be part of the fam.
