It's Saturday Monday morning, but it's #beersaturday, and I had a beer with dinner on Saturday, just cba to write this post!! I will get back into the swing of posting on a Saturday, but at the moment it is still a battle posting with any consistency on Hive fullstop!
My thoughts are with everyone in Venezuela and indeed with everyone who has troubles.
I was in Aldi last week and thought of @forykw when I saw this beer. I almost had a pub in New Zealand. When I was working in Gabon in West Africa, I was great mates with a Maori who owned some land around New Plymouth. We had great plans to open a Scottish pub there, and he even had an acre of land for me to build a house on! Never happened, but still a fun wee story!
I had sauntered past the beer aisle .... and seen this New Zealand beer!

I did a double take and picked up the can to have more of a look see!

With the warm weather I digged the sunshine vibes emanating from Pacific Avenue!

Beer poured and yes it had that hazy appearance ... and it was sweet but not sickly sweet and had a wee bit of a zesty feel in your mouth!

I have drunk a few of their beers now .... And this was nice and frothy!
Right that's all for me today!

Pacific Avenue is a hazy New Zealand IPA brewed by the award-winning Scottish craft brewery Fierce Beer, who operate out of Dyce in Aberdeen.
The Style: New Zealand IPA / Hazy IPA.
ABV: 5.8%.
The Hops: As I mentioned earlier, the standout feature of this IPA is its focus on two heavyweight, highly-coveted southern hemisphere hops...
Aroma: The beer pours a classic murky, hazy golden blonde with a frothy white head. On the nose, it erupts with zesty lemon, orange blossom, and a distinct apricot or peach sweetness.
The Taste: It balances that sweet, juicy tropical fruit character with a pithy, bittersweet citrus finish. The mouthfeel is soft, smooth, and medium-bodied, giving you that satisfyingly creamy texture you want from a properly executed hazy IPA.
Words courtesy of Gemini... Yep I agree with it...
🍺 ☑️ Beer was great
It really was a very smooth enjoyable beer, and did pack a wee punch. A couple of cans with dinner and a couple of cans afterwards was a great feeling.
I shall be back buying more, so I can't rate it higher than that!

Posting about a beer on a Saturday on the Beer Community ....
It's a whole bunch of fun, so check out The #BeerSaturday Challenge - Week 469 from the one and only @detlev.
This #BeerSaturday week I would like to invite @asiaymalay to share a beer with us..

I would like to give that beer a go.
Sorry about not making it into the final 32. I was pulling for them. The Tartan Army was a pleasure to have here for sure. Enjoyed watching them on the news each day. They did your country proud.
The beer is awesome!
Wish we had more imports here. I found a liquor store close by that has some imports. But they charge and arm, leg and more. Lately been getting a lager beer from Holland at the Aldi store. It isn't nothing to write home about, but not bad either.

All of my beer this weekend was consumed on Friday. I had a nice amber and a heavy brown though. Hard pass on IPA's for me!
