Another Saturday and another beer. Being the 4th in the US yesterday was anyone out celebrating?
On June 12th we have the Philippines Independence day, a day I remember as it's my wedding anniversary. Then July 4th it's the good old US of A, followed by Venezuela today the 5th of July as well as Algeria where I used to work. Notable ones are The Bahamas on July 10th which is Mrs T's birthday. Two more places I worked are India on August 15th and then on my birthday of August 17th another country I used to work in which was Gabon!
I looked in the fridge and decided to choose a beer I have had recently.
The reason being .. shameless plug.. is that we in the Silver Bloggers Community have started our Chronicles prompts with the first one being The Silverbloggers Chronicles - Prompt #01 ... It is all about your favourite colours this week, mine being The Chronicles: Prompt 01 - My Blue-tiful Obsession ...
So I didn't see a blue beer, but I did see a beer from Greene Brewery.
Greene Brewery .. it's almost a colour!
This was my post about it last time Church and Abbot beer on a scorching day
But today is another day and so this is what we are having ...
I think I mentioned it before that it is very similar to the beer that I was brought up on ... namely McEwans Export.
It is a good pint, but it is very beery and not like so many of the craft brews of now that don't really taste of beer.
Sometimes I wonder if people like beer, it was a bit like people drinking shandies, the lemonade in it helped weaken the beer taste!
It's a nice looking pint. Not too foamy and not too bubbly.
At 5% ABV it is a good average strength.
I do like the malt in there and the bitterness.
They say it goes together...
See what I said about not being too foamy ...
Look inside the glass!
Abbot Ale is brewed by Greene King Brewery in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk in England. It is a 5% ABV premium bitter.
Abbot has a malty profile with rich fruit cake notes and a balanced hop finish, and is apparently brewed longer for a distinctive, smooth, and mature character.
Thank you my gemini for providing that Abbot Blurb!
Posting about a beer on a Saturday on the Beer Community ....
Cheers to local beers and Happy Summer everyone
It's a whole bunch of fun, so check out The #BeerSaturday Challenge - Week 418 from the one and only @detlev.
This #BeerSaturday week I would like to invite @nancybriti1 to share a beer with usπ» on Venezuelan Independence day..

If you celebrate with beer, it's a double celebration! So Mrs. T's birthday is July 10 and yours is August 17? Birthdays are important dates too!!! As you rightly say, today in Venezuela we celebrate our independence. Today is also Bikini Day. It would have been great to celebrate independence with beer and in bikinis. hahaha. And eating pizza. A celebratory hug, Ed π»
It's bikini day! Who knew! More celebrations then,a beer in bikinis, how sweet is that!
Are the bikinis little Venezuelan flags?
A big hug to celebrate Nancy :)

I think I've tried this beer before, and it was still pretty good. It probably goes well with pizza. And there's a bit of history to it. And a blue one for the Silver Bloggers theme.
Perhaps I should start writing something in Silver Bloggers, as I feel I somewhat belong there.
It's a nice beer, not as fancy as the new IPAs but very drinkable nevertheless!
Oh yes you like good music, beer life and you should come and have a look. I think you belong there too!
That is a fair list of things worth celebrating

@tengolotodo newbie here this testament has big impact to me when it comes to taste, appearance and most especially in flavors. There's reason to come by or take a little sip that stroke to your veins and give a kicks on it. The aroma and taste encourage to explore too like in being talky such in gatherings, events and make an joyful memories. Though it has artistry on it that experimenting with herbs, fruits and others too. It suprises me and satisfy what you shared here so applause to that. We discover to appreciate more as well so keep us posted please. AJA!
Alien celebrating inside your glassπ. Or was it the one I send directly to youπ. You're full now. I am saved for not sending you foodπ.
haha so it was the one you sent! Naughty naughty ... and saved from sending food ... haha you just get naughtier!
This looks like a really good meal to me. I like beer, but I also like a good shandy.
A good shandy to be honest is a great thirst quencher when you are really hot!
