A beer to break the rules
Since Monday I was looking forward to Saturday!!! This week, so full of work for me, felt long, but thank God today is the weekend, today is Saturday and it's the perfect day to enjoy and share a delicious beer with you.
The problem is that tomorrow, Sunday, there are elections in Venezuela, and when there are elections, the government decides to take some measures, one of which is the famous 'Dry Law,' which prohibits the sale and consumption of alcohol throughout the country from Friday to Monday.
Without remembering this, yesterday I went to the supermarket and found that there was no sale of alcohol and all the liquor stores were closed. I was about to get in a bad mood and my wings were about to fall, when I remembered that near where I live there is a kind of warehouse that sells alcohol clandestinely when cases like this happen. So, before going home, I stopped by that place and bought my three cans of beer. I was happy with my contraband.
These beers cost me more than usual, but it's all for the sake of drinking on Saturday. I bought Cerveza Polar anniversary because it was the only type of beer available. This Polar beer is the same as the one in the black bottle, only they made a special can, with the original logo of the company, to celebrate their 84 years in the market.
As I have said on previous occasions, Polar beer is one of the most popular beers in Venezuela, not only for its price but also for its refreshing, light flavor, ideal for the climate of our country and the palate of our people. Its delicious taste and smell of malt make it an unmistakable beer.
Specifically, this Polar Pilsen has 4.5° of alcohol, is an intense golden color, with abundant white foam. The bitterness is mild and it is a perfect companion for any meal and outing. After having my three beers and remembering that there are elections tomorrow, I can say that in this country alcohol is not the problem. The big problem is something else.
